I definately hope that there will be another version of FH before the Defs fully concentrate on FH2, and that FH 0.7 is not a unfinished final version. So now that the armor penetration was changed, most allied tanks do 0% damage to the German tanks front armor, starting from PzKpfw IV Ausf. H and StuG IIIG. You made a nice model of the M4A1 76mm, and i wonder why you don't made it available for the US on maps like Sector 318, Battle of the Bulge, Operation Nordwind, Falais Pocket, Alpenfestung and Hell of Bocage??? (BTW, Hell of Bocage must be a joke! Nice map for German spawnrapers from other side of the river and the respawntime of the M10 is ridiculous!)
The Brits lack the powerfull Tankdestroyer M10 Achilles with the mighty 17lbr! It should not be too hard to model, because it's just an M10 with another Gun. I'm also missing some Eastern-Front maps from 1943 Prokhorovka to 1945 Outskirts of Berlin, so that there are some maps where the T34/85 can be used and maybe a model of the SU-85. The Germans should get more Marder II's on some maps and not only fight with their rare elite-tanks in high numbers. And what i'm really missing is the "Nashorn", with open top and rear, as counterpart for the M36 Jackson, where you can snipe the driver out of his vehicle... ;)
Oh, and nice idea how the AT-class is removed on some maps and only some Bazooka-kits lying around with limited ammo. If you are lucky, you survive long enough to manage to fire your two shots and watch them deflagrate on the German tanks' Schürzen...
Oh well, enough whinging! FH 0.7 is optically a very nice mod. Very detailed skins and models, but some maps are seriously unbalanced due to equipment and/or maplayout.

If you know the week spots an the german tanks, you can easily take them out in 2-3 shots. Espacialy the top is a week spot. Let's take Neuville: There are no bazooka kits to spawn with, but they are widely spread over the map. If the german tanks enter the town, you can easily hit them at the top from a building. If they capped the bridge, there tanks will probably camping on the bridge. Again, take a bazooka and go in building, then, with some skill, you can hit them on the top. It is normal that you can't penatrate german front armor.
FH is dead! Long live FH! Seriously people, the days of FH for BF1942 are counted, the new era has begun. It's time to leave FH42 behind and concentrate on the future which is FH2. Sure, I still play FH42..alot, but I don't want any dev to stop working on FH2 just to fix some things with FH42. They should put all of their efforts in FH2. If you keep looking back you might not see what is ahead of you....

You answered your own question, .7 is not a final version.
The team is now concentrating on FH2 and my guess is the community supports the move. Like someone already said the days of FH1 are most likely numbered and in order to compete the team has to concentrate on FH2 now.
There's alot of stuff the community would like to see included in FH1, but why spend those efforts on FH1 when they can be steered towards FH2, then maybe it can be the mod you always dreamed of.
Btw, Prohkorovka is in.
About allied guns, alot of the guns just couldn't compete with axis armor, requiring mobs of tanks for flanking manouvers.
You're also complaining about infantry AT weapons not doing damage against shurtzen? Think about that for a few seconds.. The concept of limiting the AT class is also a nice touch as opposed to everyone spawning as AT once a tank caps a flag, you don't think?
Most maps are balanced, but some require you to use more well thought out strategy as opposed to the traditional bf1942 rambo style. This is good, it adds variety.
The SU & ISU series td's have long been requested, but expect to see them in FH2.
Berlin outskirts was a fan map, removed in earlier versions due to lag from the massive trench system. It is missed by many.

@ SymZ Well, i definately hope that the progress of FH2 will be way faster than it was with FH then. I have played FH for two years now, discontinually of course, and now FH ends with 0.7. I don't want to wait another two years... ;)
I know that Prokhorovka is in, but there are no Eastern-Front maps between 1943 Prokhorovka and 1945 Seelow Hights (sorry for the mix-up with Outskirts of Berlin)
About the guns and armor, i know wich allied gun could penetrate the armor of German tanks and where to hit them. I said there are Tanks missing for the Allies, wich were not rare, that could penetrate the front-armor of most german tanks. (like M10 Achilles)
About the AT-class, well, that was discussed a hundred times before, if i remember correct. I never was a friend of the German Assault/AT (K98/Panzerfaust) as selectable class, but it was kept like that. At least the Panzerfaust was removed from some maps taking place before it even was produced/introduced. But the AT-discussion is pointless, because FH 0.7 is final...
A lot of maps are not ballanced, but i'm glad some Axis players still do the "rambo style" gives allies a chance to win from time to time... ;)
I think that its pretty balanced. I thought FH.7 ALMOST lived up to the hype of the final version. It has flaws. but what mod doesn't?
I hope that the community will gather its skills and resources together and start making "DC Final"- styled FH continuation. With this I mean that the community will keep '42 version alive until FH2 is out, or even after that too. Including new fantastic maps, skins and textures, sounds and perhaps even totally new content, FH42 propably would live pretty well until FH2 is out.
But I could be wrong too.
@ Freaknasty I hear your issues, but for FH1 what can ya do? For non-rare tanks I wished to see the ISU, SU series, flammenpanzer, the archer & the grant/lee, but maybe in FH2.

Gotta agree! Even if they take till the end of spring I am more then happy with this last installment of FH. Focus on FH2 is a good thing! Can't wait till the new command modes come on line....As well as all the other goodies the devs can give us with the new engine. If I have not said it yet.....You gods/devs are on my cool list since the last release! BF2 has been shelved after playing it hardcore for months staight. Juat waiting on you guys to slip it into my DVD drive again...

Of course mate. A professional team who would take care that not just everything from everyone is put in. To keep the great quality with the fan-releases. But the main problems are; who are the main men behind leading this kind of project and would Devs support our actions IF the community would start releasing new versions (Total FrontPage/Official stuff) for Forgotten Hope on BF1942.
