Beast of WarI do not think all the FH 0.6 changes to aircraft are bad. +)Bomber armour and gunner positions are better. +)Aircraft now all have very realistic roaring engine sounds.Awesome.... +)The gunfire cockpit shake is also very good.... +) Nearly all aircraft are beatifull models with beatifull skins ! -) The aircraft controls in FH 0.6 went wrong. I guess, the responsible devs tried to do things in the bf1942 engine with aircraft that this engine does not allow. I hope FH devs take this seriously and consider effective constructive changes.

I love this mod and I gree in everi point u make! the planes need change! also am I the only one who noticed that plane vs plane dmg. is way 2 low?! if you manage 2 get behind an enemy plane u need alot of fireing to stop the other plane, which usually just gets in flames and the pilot can jump out..if u make a wrong turn u need the whole lenght of the map to turn around and back at him... and some times u can see that u are hitting the oponent, but no dmg is done to his plane! and sry for my english I know it sux...

Yes it does......

Fighter vs fighter damage is too low, it takes too long to kill them. No one is served by two fighters having a 10 minute dogfight. Fighters must protect their ground forces from being bombed in area's where there is no flak.

Fighter vs bomber damage is very good, and enjoyable for both bomber gunners and fighter pilot....both have a good chance now.

Fighter vs unarmoured/light armoured vehicles damage went down also. You need 2 to 3 passes before they finally blow up. That seems to indicate the devs made the fighter guns weaker, not (only) increase armour.

I agree with you on the trottle thing. Takes way to long. That'll be looked into as well as the plane vs. plane damage.

Yes I agree with the fighter planes not being what they could. Their performance in the air doesn't feel ... in good proportion to the maps. Very slow to turn and they don't respond - there's no "umpf". Also if you're not a pilot class once you get into a plane you shouldn't be able to get out at all at least once you're in the air. I saw a lot of people jumping out of a burning plane when it's very low to the ground not to let the guy who shot him down get the kill point. Some of these peeps survive the fall too. Go figure. happened in Wake a couple of times at least.

I was waiting for someone else to comment on the plane damage first. I was on a Zeros tai with a Wildcat and shot him up but good with .50cal and was scoring hits and pieces falling off and nothing.

Early war Zeros did not have self sealing fueling tanks and had no armor plate. They could be brought down by a very short burst of .50cal ripping through the thin aluminum plane.

For gameplay the zero shouldnt be a flying bag of gasoline but it should be very fragile.

It wasnt til the model 52 entered service late in '43 that the Zero got armor plate, armored glass in parts of the canopy and self sealing fuel tanks.

i love how the bullets work. in .5 a mustang would wiz by my fireing all the bullets at once. i lagged so bad. i couldnt even move. all the bullets would lag me up like crazy! well now they all shoot 1 at a time but they shoot really fast. their weak as hell

i have been in 6 all round long dogfights on BoB so far, obviously the damamge needs to be tweaked ever so slightly

Sometimes I can shooting at this tail for 2 minutes doing no damage at all. It should do some damage at least

I agree, even in the older versions of FH I've had bomber problems with stuff like Ju52s on Crete. I haven't played .6 yet because my computer can't run BF, but in the good ol days I had my fair share of desertions and close calls because large aircraft can't turn for shit. Then again some are too fast. The fighters in Orel went so fast there wasn't a point to do anything but drive them on the ground so you don't lose tickets for them being shot, and it was too damn easy for a single enemy tank to take an airfield.
