A small one, Are some bases out of arty range for either team in certian maps? Why do I hear myself call for arty ONLY when I wont get it, and never when I will? Does the commader tell you of incoming arty only when its at your location - Could there be variations of the call with sometihng more dramatic and blood-curdling cuz.. I mean, arty is coming down on you, the commader can't be THAT professional about it without SOME degree of concern!? Are there big guns hidden somewhere or is the arty simply remote? Can those guns be destroyed in other words? Is there a possibility that in some maps, based on historic fact, there will be visible base artillery - massive guns? What is the arty firing cycle - i.e. how does the 'firing-->no fire available-->ready to fire again' cycle work? Do arty guns stop firing once certain bases are capped?

Referring exclusively to unmanned guns here. Not the field howitzers.

Also, whateve happened to any of the following: The hands in 1st person in cockpit view, and when using an MG (Saw it in the video).... What ever happened to the smoke that poured from the cannon of tanks for a few secs after firing? That was realistic I imagine... Why does there seem to be a massive over-use of major's model for the Tommies? And why I do see so many LRDG dressed guys in practically all the maps - Should there be so much with the regulars - Same goes for the Chevy CWT (Wasn't it a specialised vehicle for certian areas of the NA campaign).... Also, I see most of the bots using one of the following kits: Captains (About half the bloody army) Rifleman (A healthy amount) Machine gunner and Tank destroyer (When the situation calls for it) And never any of the following: Engineer Close quarters infantry How do the bots select captian kit w/out being captain? and Why would they. Why don't they ever select a userful kit like Engineers. I could really use 'fixers' on the battlefield at times Also, When I asked whether guns stop firing when arty bases are capped, I meant do the automatica guns cease to be an option once certian friendly bases are taken by the enemy

If by 'LRDG guys' you mean 'people with white cloth on their heads', that's the NCO kit. You won't see very many people like that online, you might see lots in singleplayer though (you claim you do).

As for the Chevy... meh, it's fun to drive. My clan had races on El Alamein with them yesterday ;)

What is this "single player" thing you speak of. lol

I haven't played single player on any BF2 games for years and maybe only 3 times total at that.

Please note his location -- Ghana.

My guess there are as many African gaming servers as there are here in SC. I also suspect that the Internet infrastructure may not be very good there either, hence no connecting to Europe or elsewhere.

Blasphemy! SP is a sublime experience. Yes, it's more arcadey with a lot of rape-age if that's what you want, but I guarantee on some maps the bots can use tactics which are very close to those used by Russian infantry in RL early war. Plus, in some maps, if you crank up to 400% bot population, they can come at you in platoon-size groups!

These improvements are primarily because of the efforts of Bizness, the Overlord of AI. As the bots' Personal Trainer, Bizness has donated countless hours teaching and training the incredibly stupid EA bots. He has also established breeding programs, and has almost stamped out the EA genetic material to produce bots with such AI improvements they no longer need to ride the short bus. Yes, these are bots which not only use artillery, they also regularly use mortars, even nebelwerfers. They work in squads, coordinate attacks on opposite ends of your line, do lone-wolf end-around sneaky crawls. They cap, re-cap, back-cap, and steal vehicles and weapons.

So in honor of Bizness and his continuing efforts to create a bot as smart as the human players, play a round of SP on, say, 0.7 Foy. Max your CPU time, your bot AI and numbers, and your own re-spawn time. And I promise you will lose some games to the bots.
