Looks like an interesting project:
Firefly Mini_mod/Map Pack Part 1, Battlefield 2142 Downloads, Battlefield 2142 Mini-Mods Firefly Mini_mod/Map Pack Part 2, Battlefield 2142 Downloads, Battlefield 2142 Mini-Mods
Standalone mod mixes some FH stuff with Road to Rome/Secret Weapons. I'm downloading it at the moment, has anyone else given it a try?
no but if they ripped models from FH and distribute them like that, I hope Battlefield Files admins see it and remove the mod, ban the user and report him.
Here is problem#1
#3 - Any chance I can borrow your vehicles for my own mod...??? - Posted by: poompoom500 (Member) on 09-29-2008 at 09:27 To Rdc Firefly,
Do you think I can borrow your vehicles to add to my own maps/mods???
Natty Wallo;4607193no but if they ripped models from FH and distribute them like that, I hope Battlefield Files admins see it and remove the mod, ban the user and report him.
You read me like a book Natty. My original intent was to bluntly ask if this guy had even got permission from the FH team but I decided to stray on the cautious side.
I certainly never heard about it until Toucinator told me he'd seen our map Sand Dunes in the listing for some mod he'd never heard of either, so I went and had a look. The main reason I'm downloading it is to have a look for any credits/readmes/permission files from the original authors of borrowed content or at least an acknowledgment of their work. He did list the FH team in the credits, but not individuals outside the team (prime example being Megaraptor, whose PBY Catalina he seems to have used, along with the Arctic Convoy map).
Well some admin need to tell the admins at bffiles to ban, delete, block, report his ass
Well, finished downloading. Didn't even come with a readme or list of credits. Author has been messing around with the maps too, not only changing the kits but setting the fog start & end distance on Sand Dunes to 2222. Shame they forgot to change the actual view distance from 130, though
EDIT: New discovery. Readme files for Smig's objects are packed away inside the .rfas of various maps. That's all the credits I can find going through all the map files, however...
Did he even credit the stuff to FHmod team + all the other mod teams hes taken from?
There is FH team listed in credits at the end of that text in the BFfiles page. Credits Rdc_Firefly (MapPack Designer and coding) Fh Team (models and code) Dweller Bhentos (b17 code and tips ) Smig (Custom Objetcs)
Im going to break into a bank and steal money, then make a blog from a paradise island
Credits Bosch (Drill and Sledgehammer) Barkley Bank Int. (money) British Airways (ticket)
