The Nukastuka wasn't that great, the other versions with 4 bombs (for example on El Al) was great. It was much easier to destroy lots of tanks with that one.

Another "interesting feature" of 0.5 was the infantry vs. tank combat. The Panzerfaust was so strong and accurate that tankers didn't stand a chance. Kübelfausting was one of the resulting tactics, but just as good was to jump when a tank shot his maingun at you, this would propell you about 50m upwards where you could open your parachute to descend on the back of the tank and kill it with your Panzerfaust.

And ammoboxes were always full. K98 railrifle + PzFst 100 was my favourite kit in these times :D

Nukastuka is still on Prokhorovka and Kasserine Pass.

Maniac, the 4-bomb Stuka may be great for killing multiple tanks...ON SEPARATE OCCASIONS. However, a true Nukastuka Ninja looks for multiple tanks...IN THE SAME PLACE.

Boom.

Good old days indeed, though I can't remember any details of it either, only that it took some time to get used to "one shot, one kill". I kept hoping it (the mod) wouldn't die soon...apparently it didn't :D

My name is written in yellow letters, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I'm a maniac ;)

Killing several tanks with one bomb may be fun, but it just doesn't happen often enough, especially on maps like El Al.

Meh, you guys all look the same to me.

First off, El Al doesn't have nukastukas. On El Al, if you're stuck as hun, you get some dudes witih MP40s and do drive-by shootings with the VW Bug. Now _that_ is funny--doing circles around the East flag and hammering away at random infantry with a machine gun.

On Prok and Kasserine, it's not _that_ hard to hit multiple tanks with the thing; there are a few spots where they tend to cluster up. But to be honest, it's more fun taking out a jeep or a lonely infantry guy (like with the Goliath.) Overkill rules.

Believe or not, I was there too! With another name though.

I can remember the first time I opened the game. "Wow! This new menu is so cool! And what music!" then I picked a server "Wow! Now how cool is this load screen!" Finally, I get in "Wow! They have assault class with rifle! Nice!" I spaw, wander around a bit admiring the new vehicles, BANG! "What the... Im dead? It took him only 1 shot to kill me with that rifle? WOW! I love this mod!"

This mod brought me the realism that Bf42 was lacking. Since my first round of 0.5 FH, I barely played BF42 anymore (with the exeption of what-ever-the-vanilla-patch-was, that I played some time because of the new cool "Invasion of Filippines" map). 0.5 surely had it's bugs and problems (like the HE-111 missing it's cockpit, witch pissed me of the most:D), but it was much, MUCH better that the vanilla.

I remember the first time I played FH the German bomber on El Al would explode on spawn and kill whatever was standing near it. Also, I really miss old Foy and I believe the other map was named Nancy. Its too bad those guys couldn't let FH keep the old version of Foy :( Such a fun map. My first BF42 memory was the fact that at first there was no outside views. Such a great game, vanilla42. It spawned FH, DC, DCX, GC, BF1918, XWW2, and prob one or two other decent mods.
