Locked vehicles and flags requiring several players to capture would also solve this problem quite well...

That is my opinion aswell, but the devs don't want to......

And i have no clue why not. Enemy players stealing heavy equipment or aircraft out of uncappable bases where they just do not belong ( on most servers against the rules, wich says enough ) isn't an improvement to gameplay or realism.

The days Tiger II ausf B could not be countered or stopped by own side vehicles is long over........there is no nessesety to be able to steal heavy vehicles and aircraft out of main bases.

And requirering more then 1 player to cap a flag would defenatly 200 % improve teamwork.

I think major changes to gameplay with regard to flag capping and locking vehicles is a bit risky - I guess the devs don't know how well it would be received; and could alienate a major number of players. I'd be all for both, but think they should be on a few test maps to start with to see the effect on gameplay...
