Is it just me or does anyone else think that the Kubelwagon is seriously over armoured. I`ve lost count of the times it`s come hurtling towards me while I`m in a tank and have shelled it repeatedly ( making hits) , just for it do carry on driving as if nothing has happened. I have hit it loads of times with HE and AT to no avail. Just the other day I slammed a Grant HE shell directly into the side of a Kubel with 4 occupants and nothing happened to them, I was no more than 50 meters away when I fired, I got a hit indicator and the Kubel was completly engulfed in an explosion, sadly though they just appeared from out of the cloud of dust and carried on driving. Yesterday on Gazala while in a crusader a Kubel came towards me at high speed, I fired at a distance of 30 meters straight into the side of it, again I got a hit indicator but no damage was caused to the Kubel. They are just 2 instances from a long list of meetings with the Kubel in the last 12 months of playing. On the other side of the coin, the Jeep is really weak and can be taken down easily, especially with an HE burts at close proximity. I know the Kubel has doors, but I`m sure that if a largish HE shell was to go off close to a soft skinned open vehicle like this one someone or something is going to get hurt ?. Cheers

Well, you should use your MG on them really.

You can get a hitindicator even though you actualy missed the target. I've had numbers of times where a shell lands next to a vehicle, and the vehicle recieves damage, but not so much as a direct hit.

Yes this is true, but only of HE, an AT shell wont do that, and if its made any contact at all with a Kubelwagon it`s going be disabled for sure. It`s just the way it seems to me, I have played this game to death and I know my capabilities, most vehicles, wether it be the Dingo, a Bren carrier, the Jeep or any other fast vehicle for that matter I can normally dispatch with 1 to 3 shots. The Kubel just seems to always get away from me. I`ve hit enough times and it`s carried on it`s business to make me think this way. @ GooGeL.... and the reason being please ? :) Cheers.

HE shell lopped just close to a soft skinned vehicle (in this case our K├╝belwagen) and you destroy it for sure.

Realistically, an AT shell would just go through it unless it hit the engine, or other functioning part (most of which are on the bottom) A car with a hole punched in the door still drives.

Use HE or MG to kill the driver instead.

I think there might be a problem with direct HE hits and hit detection.

Yesterday I was playing on Giarabub and fired a pak35 HE round which accidentally hit a passing friendly British player directly in the back. It did no damage.

If you fire an HE shell at a soft-skinned vehicle, like a jeep or universal carrier, all you have to do is get the shell to land next to the vehicle. Don't try and hit it directly.

Hit detection in the Battlefield series has allways been a little unreliable, so sometimes you just have to ignore that hit indicator and fire again.

Try enabling that automatic latency setting in the toolbox, assuming you use the toolbox to launch your games of course.

If your shooting a moving target, aim for the front, so even if network latency decides to f*(& with you the shot still hits.
