Keep the Jeep, it makes things interesting. Just had a round were we (Brits) had a complete hold of the end of the bridge for the whole time, 20 vs 20. Expacks, detpacks etc everything stacked.

The only thing I would like to see changed on Arnhem is the removal of the expack from the British Special Op, give him satchel instead. maybe it's a bug that the expack is still on this map? :)

Blistex Also give the brits a 30 cal or two mounted in a window to hold up the German troops on the bridge.

There is already a vickers MG pickup kit.

Played the current Arnhem map 4 or 5 times over the last few evenings (as GE all but one time) and the Brits won all but one game, usually giving up 0-1 flags. The one time the GE did win was when they broke thru and capped the back flag but on all of the other maps the Tanks/Kubel were stopped cold. Exp-packs were very successful against the kubel when placed near choke points (first rubble pile straight from bridge for ex). Even if they dont destroy the kubel they knock it around and stop it long enough for any observant infantry to make short work of it. Even with minor preparation the kubel rush can be prevented esp. with unlimited Spec Ops/Anti Tank classes on this map.

Good idea...but as stated above...start with removing: Pumas...and then make a capping order for flags.

Also...while you are at it, please please remove the allied jeeps...

Donitz, get your map done ;)

Sorry, but who cares about strict realism here? It's a fun map. It would be better if the Germans were not able to rush to the back and cap the flag.

I care

Having people to protect the rear flag wont work because noobs learn fast and cap the middle flag. Plus I dont see how that makes think realistic. I mean they made the panzerfausts target close slowe because it was inproperly used. Well kubus on this map are inproperly used. That wont bother me if it wouldnt mest up the map. The best way to counter this now is to get a group of 5 british, steal 5 tanks, and place them in the middle of the bridge, teaching the germans a lesson. That will piss them off as much as their tactic pisses me off.

I think you missed my point entirely. If you read the post, you'd see I was advocating getting rid of the rear (or middle, whatever) flag capping BS. My comment about realism was in response to those going on about the real Arnhem. Yes, I know the history, but in this case I think game-play is better served in treating the map as a linear push-type map. Panzerfausts in this post = non sequitar. Your counter is just as bad as the jeep racing to the back.

What is the "proper" way of using a kubel then?

Arnhem is one of my favorites maps (forgetting the historical innaccuracies). I typically play as the British and "kubel rushes" aren't seen too often and are easily dealt with.

Arnhem is ruined by morons who stop thier tigers on the bridge, then get out when they start burning.

Amen to that :D

I think the Brit's main problem is everybody trying to get kills by camping the bridge. You don't need cover all the (or any other flags). Once off the bridge, a German vehicle has two choices. Go straight, or turn right. Turning right is bad because you have to slow right down, and the bridge defenders will get you. Going straight is best because you can keep your speed up. So really, if the Brits deepen their defense a bit (for example put PIATs in the buildings above the intersections further down the road where the Germans can turn), they can confound the Axis team. The only issue is that these second-line defenders won't get as many kills as the bridge defenders. But we all have to make choices in life. More kills? Or help the team win the map?
