42Well I have been playing with him since like March 2003 ,I think hes a pretty kool guy , I agree before 1.6 patch he would pull off some uber l33t moves which were probobly due to a cheat but aside from that hes the best pilot I know of and most of the stuff I know I learnt off him. Due to the times and regularity of his play he probobly attends school or college but i've not seen him do any flaming as I can't really understand German :)

I have to agree, hes a VERY good pilot, thats skill yeah..

BUT he is using Bugs ingame every time he is able to do that (Hangarbug, Berlinbug, etc). Also he renamed himself to a Clanbuddy from me and flamed me then.

Nothing against you, i just HATE him . And attending college means plain nothing...

remcoM1 carbine (M2, M3, M1A1)

The M1 carbine is a semiautomatic rifle more powerful than a handgun, but less powerful than the M1 rifle. It is light weight and effective up to 300 metres. Developed during WW2, the M1 carbine was intended as a replacement for the M1911-A1 pistol, but it was used more often as a light rifle. The M1A1 carbine was standarized in 1942. Intended for use by paratroopers, it had a side folding stock. The M2 carbine was standarized in 1944 as a selective fire carbine. The M3 is an M2 with infrared sniperscope.

Production: 1941-present. Between 1941 and 1945 nearly 6.25 million of various models of these carbines were manufactured, making the M1 the most widely-produced small arm in American military history. 5,510,000 of the M1 version were made; 150,000 of the M1A1; 570,000 of the M2; and 2100 of the M3. Private manufacturers continue to produce small quantities in the USA for private (non-military) use.

Manufacturers: Springfield Armory Inc, Geneseo, Illinois; Iver Johnson Arms Inc, Middelsex, New Jersey

Service: Millions of M1 and related model carbines are in service around the world today. Users include the US National Guard and the armed forces of Chile, Ethiopia, Honduras, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Norway (in reserve), Philippines, Taiwan, Tunisia. The M1 was in service in Cambodia and Laos prior to the Vietnam war, and may still be found there.

Cartridge: .30 M1 carbine

Operation: (M1) gas, self-loading; (M2 and M3) selective fire

Method of locking: rotating bolt

Magazine capacity: 15 or 30

Weight empty: 5.47 pounds (2.48 kg)

Length: 35.5 inches (905 mm)

Barrel length: 458 mm

Muzzle velocity: 2000 f/s (593 m/s)

Rate of fire: cyclic (M2 and M3 only), 750 rounds/minute

Effective range: 300 m more like this fryaduck

More like what you've basically reposted what I posted. Although were you have got your info from has been rounded. 300 yards = 274M, 2000 f/s = 609.6 m/s (593 m/s = 1,945.5380577 f/s), 458 millimeter = 18.0314961 inch (457 millimeter = 17.992126 inch). Specification for the 110 grain bullet was 1860 f/s (1860 f/s = 566.928 m/s) from a 18 inch barrel.

lumpehActually thinking about it, will the mines in the new FH be better hidden than the old? Also will we ever be able to lump more around with us? Perhaps a kit that has only a carbine\pistol and mines, but more than the usual. I know you've somehow done it with the 24 mine truck anyways. A few engies should be able to set up a nice anti-armor defense and then sit themselves in the new acquired AT guns no? :)

I think you will be pleasantly surprised.

Elessar TelcontarI think you've got your cartridges confused. attachment.php?attachmentid=14299&stc=1 (image from http://world.guns.ru) From left to right: .30 M1 US carbine, 7.62x39mm Russian ("AK ammunition") and 5.56 NATO. I'd say the .30 Carbine looks like a pistol round rather than a 5.56 NATO.

In Russia .30 cal owns you.

1. - 9mm Parrabellum, Ingram M10 magazine 2. - .50 Cal Spotter ammo and magazine for Spotting Gun M8C 3. - 9mm Parrabellum, L2A3 Sterling mag 4. - 9mm Parrabellum, British Police Carbine mag 5. - .45 ACP, M3 and M3A1 Grease Gun mag 6. - 7.62mm Nato, L1A1 SLR mag 7. - Ammunition loader for Sten and Lanchester magazines 8. - 9mm Parrabellum, Sten and or Lanchester mag 9. - 7.62mm Nato, M14/M14A1 mag 10.- 5.56mm Nato (SS109), Steyr AUG mag 11.- Pouch M1 Carbine 12.- Pouch M2 Carbine 13.- .30 Cal M1 Carbine 10 round stripper clip and 15 round mag 14.- .30 Cal M1 Carbine, M2 30 round mag with jungle clip.

The pistol ammo is much shorter than the M1 Carbine ammo, which is my point.

FryaDuckOnce again it is not nor ever has been a pistol round. The .30 cal Winchester is closer in looks to the 5.56mm Nato round and that certainly doesn't look like a pistol round.

"The Taurus 30 'Raging Thirty' is a Brazilian double-action sporting revolver. The Taurus 30 is chambered for the .30 Carbine cartridge, has an 8-chamber cylinder, 10-inch barrel and adjustable rear sight, and an attachment for taking a telescopic sight." I have seen the round chambered for a long slide semi-auto as well, similar to a desert eagle in appearance.
