The Jeep and Kubelwagon serve no purpose but to encourage Rambos to drive to rear flags or camp the main spawn.
Right now, the only way to stop the ticket bleeding is with the aide of that Rambo. The main force is able to take the control point in the field, but the ticket bleed STILL continues. By the time the main force is able to take part of the city to stop the bleeding, American ticket count is VERY low. However, when you add Rambo to the equation, it means by the time the main force has captured the field, the four Rambos in the jeep will have taken part of the city, successfully ending the bleeding. I don't care if it's historical or not, but it's crucial to control the two points at the beginning before you lose too many tickets. Then again, I guess it depends on the number of tickets. If you are playing on a server that starts with above 500 tickets, then I guess ticket bleeding is not much of a worry early-game.
Perhaps one active Stug and a static Tiger made to look like it is out of action. They also reqire that 88.
More artillery and more machine guns for the Germans? And give them a tank too? So what do the Americans get?
I seem to be in the minority here, but I like Foy the way it is. Tanks would ruin it imo.

You know what? Everyone here go and play XWW2, and play the map Foy. They way they have it there, with Pak 40s, 88s, a sherman for the americans, is the way it should be in FH. Oh, and don't use the main XWW2 server to see how Foy should look, the server admin mae some changes, removing the 88s from the map .
Nice advert Von Mudra :). However the problem with foy is because the fog was removed the map looks crap. However I think the main problem with Foy is the fact people dont use the Unspawnable kits which now IMO play a large roll in FH. For Example The D6 Grid Axis CP has 3 Mobile MG42 Kits, 2 Stg 44 kits, 1 Mortar Kit, 1 Gewehr 43 Kit. Now if you cant defend that spawn your a tard, While the map looks crap its one of the only FH maps that gives a lot of action fast. However if I replacement was made Im sure FH would make a nice slow battle like everyother FH map :rolleyes:
the fh maps are great.. anarchy only sugest to ad some more stuf, to make it a more realitic than its alerdy is , sow i say , ad som haystack and mg's give them a tiger and a 88mm. and the map is perfect

It seems to me that you all want the battle of foy changed just so it looks like the one in band of brothers. Would be nice if devs decided to redo the map, but personally I could make a much better arguement for remaking some of the dice maps (or even all of them).
For example whens the last time anyone played midway on a server? shame this was the defining battle of the pacific and decided the final outcome of the war. The dice version of the map is mostly focused on the land battle of the island, when in fact it was one of the biggest naval engagements around the island in history. And the dice beach on iwo jima looks more like omaha, nothink like pictures of the iwo jima battle. And bocage well I dont even have to say anythink about how bad that map still remains. In the long term I personally feel none of the dice maps should be left in fh they should all be redone at some point. Then fh would have all of its own maps completely new and unique from any other mod. Look at the great job the devs made of omaha, all the original dice maps could be a lot better and realistic in my opinion. fh maps are the best and completely original, so before we start looking at redoing original maps wouldnt it be better to redo them crappy dice maps which are years old. In saying that though there are one or two classic maps like wake island that you couldnt possibly improve much further on.
I have to admit that i love Foy the way it is. A great close combat map and it serves a very intense artillery barrage when the krauts know how to use it. But to be honest, the map design and the looks is outdated of the top notch looks of the FH maps. Altho, if the map can be remade to magnificent looks and that change wouldnt ruin the gameplay and fun, and wouldnt make the map laggy (like way too many FH maps can be classified to the archive "Lag? Buy a new computer n00b"). I wouldnt be against changes unless the map would have tons of useless objects just making it helluva laggy.
I'd say, add some haystacks and a StuG3, and we are good too go. The 88' would be a real killah with those AA-shots...

Darn... What servers do you guys play in? I played Midway just yesterday and I usually get to play that map atleast once each day. This goes the same with Foy though although is more like once every two days.
