MkH^Russians? They are getting their asses beaten in Chenznya (or sth. not sure how's that spelled) because of lacking skill of fighting in such enviroment, even with their advanced equipment.
That is probably because they are the invading force, and not the defending force......that was diffrent in WWII, where they really learned the trade. Many things they came up with, are still tought in military academies and should be in any rebels handbook
P.S. the T72 is one of the last tanks I would want to use in battle. Ergonamically alone, it is a cramped coffin. :(

T72 also had an autoloader grabbing crewmembers instead of munition, often dismembering them

The Abrams was especially designed so low educated soldiers could operate it ( i think that is funny, but practical ) Lets face it, in rich western countries highly educated people persuing careers are not going to waste time being a corporal tankdriver, of sergeant tankcommander, lieutanant at best.

So the most comfortable and easy to use tank would no doubt be an Abrams, or US army equipment and vehicles in general.

Ok, I really wish that on this BF2 they exclude the 'paper behaviour' of vehicles. It's no cool to see a plane going down like a paper sheet. Would be cool if he could crashing liberating lots of debris and sand, etc.

They are by no means getting their "asses beaten". The Chechens haven't done shit besides the occasional suicide bombing.

Hmm, lets see: Russians are being careful so as not to bomb civilan targets, thus they don't just "use thier advanced equipment", but they have to get the militants out of the hiding (who are hiding behind women's dresses, literally). While those terrorists suicide-bomb Russian appartment blocks at night when everyone is inside sleeping! Where the hell you got the notion that Russians are getting thier ass kicked?

SimonS.Lets hope EA doesn't cut production time like they did with the First Battlefield game, Maybe this time we can get destructable things, like Dice said wed get in BF1942, but EA decided to be gay, and told dice to release.

Production was actually PUSHED AHEAD SIX!!! MONTHS because EA added to its development budget, I think this game is going to be good, think Söldner (another game kinda the same only you can go through an area and have it look like Hiroshima AFTER the blast) so I for one will get it, and wish that FH moves to it or produces a spin-off.

Anlushac11 I'd like to see how the T-90 that you seem so proud of would fare in the same situation or even Uthers Challenger II if hit by a RPG-22 in the side armor below the skirt. And as stated before Chobham armor is only on the frontal arc. Any tank can be penetrated by conventional weapons from the sides and rear. Even a Tiger II was vulnerable at sides and rear.
If you read my post again you'd see that I'm actually very critical of the T-90 and more for the Western MBT technology...
A basic Abrams hull without it's advanced onboard systems and/or cannon and engine does not cost millions. It's the weapons electronics and operating systems that make it so expensive.

An objective test would take into account the systems as well.

Nevertheless i doubt if the US wants to sell their tank hulls to countries that want to do firing test on them.......go figure.

I am actually aware of this.
