A 20mm round to the T34 engine deck would nearly 100% deflect and cause no damage at all.
OhioanWasn't there a few Tigers with different turrets floating around from a competitor's prototype stock? Anyways, you know you're a good tanker if: You can take out a manned T-34 with a Panzer II. Ramming dosen't count. I've found that even if the T-34 IS showing the top weak armor, the Panzer II will STILL require 50+ rounds to kill it. This is, IMO, retarded. If you put 10 20mm AP rounds into the engine of a tank (it penetrates, so it should do critical damage) that that tank should NOT keep moving. That tank should die.
Hehe, i did it once but then he/she must have been a newcomer or have a bad graphicscard or something, i was standing on a hill blasting off, hiding behind a house when he/she turned around, then blasting off again. But my estimate was its enough with ~20 good hits on top of T-34, ok, it could already been damaged so i dont know if its enough.
Its gotta be a Sherman , Panzer IVH or T-34 as they can all die from 1 hit to the side by fairly small caliber guns and they pack a fair punch (mainly the Panzer IVH and in early war maps T-34). Tanks I would say are harder to master are the tanks with no turret and the recon tanks.
They should never use the sherman or cromwell, why . because there dead meat i say shermans and cromwells for pros, me my self i like the sherman, i like its speed and firepower, may not be the most poweful or armored but its a good tank. you have to ambush other with them both. i say beginnner tanks are the tiger, king tiger, jumbo, maybe the firefly, but it still has thin armor. if the e8 way in the game yet it would own. but shermans for pros on my thought. because the others you dont have to be so carefull with because of its armor and gun. so theres my explanation.
Shermans suck, which is exactly why those who are just starting should use them. If they take a Tiger or Panther they are bound to do something stupid and waste an awesome tank that takes forever to spawn.
Likewise they shouldn't take a light light tank like a BT-7 or M8 (yeah, its an ASC, whatever...) because in the right hands they are deadly.
Give them Shermans, Cromwells, T-34/76s, and other midrange tanks that are somewhat forgiving.
I like the sherman. theres my tank. or the E8 or firefly
