Op Flashpoint? I loved that one. I hope they end its 2nd part soon... And I like Brothers in arms too. Is not the best wwii game, but it's not as bad as some say...
I have to say FH's omaha beach is not very accurate IMO. I was in Omaha beach 3 weeks a go, and the cliff/hill/bunkers seem to not be very accurate in the FH's map.
I did a panorama photo of the beach from the sea (I'll post it if you want), and got many historical maps and I still wondering what section of the beach was taken to be in the map...
Anyway, I love FH's charlie sector map. It's very funny (despite I always play as US soldier)... so If it's not very accurate I can still forgiving the devs :)
Gold beach is a very different map. There's no fight in the beach, tommies have tanks... It's basically a hedgerow battle, and it's very funny too. So I can't chose what of these is better due are different map types :)
Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis sequel: Operation Flashpoint 2 will be released later, possibly not this year and is being worked on by different devs. Armed Assault though is supposed to show up earlier and is done by Bohemia Interactive. And yes please, post your photos/maps from Normandy if you can. I would love to see those.

Gold Beach is basically a straightforward combined arms assault map with oh-by-the-way-there's-a-beach. It's not one of my favorites, but it's a very solidly done, reasonably balanced and playable map with good terrain and flow of gameplay.
The best "real" beach assault maps, IMHO, are Charlie Sector and, although they're not D-Day, Tarawa, Saipan-1944 (as a push map) and Wake (unfortunately, Tarawa never seems to have enough players to ensure an appropriate slaughter at the water's edge. Ace map, though.) In all the other Pacific amphibious maps (Philippines, Guadalcanal, old Saipan, Makin), except to some degree on Iwo Jima which is hampered by extra-low-quality DICE terrain, the really cool beach action seems to be kind of incidental.
Captain J MillerDoes XWW2 Juno Beach/Omaha support SP?
Yes. But of course you have to dl the entire mod to play them. Also, I can't remember if it's XWW2 or Battlegroup42 that had, IMO, a much-improved (at least as to gameplay) Omaha Beach DICE map.
I'm hoping for a Pegasus Bridge map, omg it would be sweet indeed.... Either that, or for a beach map, 'Operation Husky' maybe? When the Italian/Med maps get released....
