Adak is one of the best maps IMO, looks beautiful and lots of nice sniping places, justs need a few more tickets for the japs.

Beast of WarI really don't like any of these islands aswell..... What i would like is a historical carrier battle at open sea like it really happend..... No damned islands, no damned flags, no ship respawns, just a huge watermap with moving carrier(s), maybe a destroyer or two for additional AA coverage. A map where the carrier(s) aircraft have to search the map were the enemy fleet/carrier is and then sink it while it defends itself out of all it's flak guns and tries to evade topedoes launched at it.......the same spectacular scenes as in real life.....all important is the carrier(s) should be able to move freely, so the side that is able to find the other carrier(s) first and manages to stage a large enough attack force to break through the flak and fighterscreen wins...... THAT was what really happend there.......so why would this not be a great map in FH ? All enemy ships lost, last enemy player dies, game over......

I would like to see that added, but me and you both know its not gonna be. No matter what people say the very large majority of players dont like ships and no one would want to play that map. It probably wouldnt even make it on servers.:(

All of them are ok by me, even with their foibles.

But if one must choose:

Guadacanal - when Jadg is not in a plane Adak - so very different it needs to be played Phillipines - great in FH and Vanilla Iwo Jima - ok Wake - can be very hard on Japs but a worthy struggle.

Iwo Jima is the best. The rest can be cut for all I care. Wake is a terrible, terrible map as far as gameplay is concerned. Makin and Saipan are just musical chairs with flags and poor Japanese equipment put up against good U.S. equipment. The AA guns are in terrible positions, and the U.S. Battleships are invincible even after 20 rounds from the large guns.

Iwo dosent suffer from these attributes. It gives japs plenty of entrenched and enforced positions to fight from that cant be hiijacked, but thats about it. Still no Japanese arty..

You'd need at least 3 guys per ship to use them properly. Makes 9 people for one carrier and two destroyers. (With bigger fleets, this number keeps rising to the moon) On a average 24 guys server, that leaves 3 men flying each side. You'd need at least 32 people on a server running that map, so you got maybe 3 figthers and 4 bombers (all flying without rearmg...)

If we would play it on big servers like BFE and WOLF and Nagnag's then it would be cool.

I would like a well-balanced sea-air map like that too , only thing that worrys me is the guy steering the carrier starting to move it the second i am about to take off :uhoh: And the carriers would need a bit medium artillery , if i am not wrong the most carriers had them or heavy AA aboard.
