Until FH2 is released, which of the BF2 mods is better? By that I mean both in terms of gameplay similarity to FH and population of US servers. I am willing to tolerate modern warfare until FH2 is released and I again get to have the feel of a warm enfield in my hands.
Pr in my own opinion.
fh0.7

Not everyone wants to look at shitty graphics until the end of time...
and go with PR 0.6
unless you want arcadey gameplay.

Whoa whoa whoa, in my opinion FH1's graphics are far superior to all of the over-bloomed poorly textured crap in most games these days.
Anyhow, while not exactly FH-realistic, I found Desert Conflict to be quite fun. That and Operation Peace Keeper. You should give them a try.

1) FH 0.7 graphics are actually pretty damn good 2) Graphics doesnt make the game
POE2. It's the most similar to FH - crosshairs, one man tanks, uncomplicated gameplay...
PR is an excellent game in itself but if you want to prepare for FH2 I'd suggest POE2.
Guys, I love FH0.7, or I did, but there are other games and engines out there. Compare the outdoors with 0.7 and it's "oh dear". It's not that great. I don't think that people who play videogames, when taking a GENERAL OVERVIEW, should be the judge of realistic graphics or not. We're accustomed to things looking a bit too digital and say "well it's a step in the right direction" instead of saying what it really looks like as my father said..."it looks like shit, water doesn't look like that...". As I said in my foliage thread, my dad looked at 0.7 and laughed, mostly at the water, because, you have to admit, it looks nothing like reality(especially attack on Caen with the fucked up green water and greenish sky, that was the one my dad commented on). Settle down with your defences and admit the game's graphics are getting a little dated.
Dated compared to today's newfangled wonders, perhaps, but it's not like graphics are the sole determinating factor of how enjoyable a game is. As a matter of fact, for a lot of people, it's barely a factor so long as things don't look like they're from a 1996 shooter. Assuming the topic starter has BF1942, the best way to prepare for FH2 would definitely be FH 0.7. If you're bored sick of FH 0.7, you could try out one of the other World War Two mods for BF1942 such as XWW2 or BG42. Anyway, we're gamers! What do we know of this "outdoors" you speak of? ;)
