Yes/no? If yes, would it be too much to ask that the soldier has a chance to take 0 damage cause the body armor managed to stop the bullet(s)? (sorry if this has been answered, but 'body' brought back no search results and 'body armor' brought back a million)

Body armour in WWII was limited to a padded jacket. Oo. On Russian Battlefield in one of the vets stories he said it stopped a .45 from a thompson once.

Hopefully the APCs will be a bit more effective in this game than in the current FH. :uhm:

OOH! so the pilot class will be the super-armored class with no weapons, eh?

Can you make body armor in to simulate various levels of "toughness" with different classes?

We might be able to code equipment to absorb a certain amount of damage (like a backpack or something) so classes that are carrying a whackload of gear (like the sapper) have a little extra padding.

There will be 'light' and 'heavy' infantry, as there is in BF2, but this only relates to sprint speed and stamina recovery.

I brought this up in passing in the 'FH2 Suggestion Thread' and Anlushac11 said that WW2 infantry never really used body armor.

Anlushac11Body armor was not common with US forces til the Korean War. In WW2 flight crews wore flak jackets and some naval ship crews sometimes wore body armor to protect form shell splinters.

So maybe pilot kits would give a guy some protection against flak ripping through his plane. Anlushac11 says that this is for US forces, does anybody know about other armies?
