It seems possible to fire the bolt action rifles way too fast! It seems like they can fire as fast as semiautomatic rifles. While I understand that a well trained soldier could work a bolt quite fast I doubt anyone but the most experianced soldiers could work the bolt as fast as they do in this mod! The animations times don't seem correct either, you can fire the Lee Enfield in middle of the bolt action animation! Will we get real bolt action animations anytime soon? I would not mine the current one so much if it took as long as they do in Battlefield: 1942 1.6 to fire them. :)

I am not an experienced soldier and I can fire as fast if not faster than the bolt actions in game.

The straight bolts, however, were hard to work. So they should be slower.

The No. 4 was the best bolt action rifle of the war, bar none. It was EXTREMELY fast firing and ergonomic.

When people see me firing bolt actions I usually chamber another shell before they even notice I started. "Shhink-shhk"

I own a couple of bolt action rifles, and you can fire them that fast. However, no where near that accurate! Maybe opening up the crosshair between aims would help with that...:deal:

Ohh, yeah, Enfield rifles in general are very nice to hold. But I'm fond of my 1903, its uber-accurate!

The bolt action rifles do fire too fast but more importantly they aim too fast and are far too accurate. Being able to fire a bolt action rifle as fast as they do ingame(I'd like to see someone do it that fast!) and aiming it perfectly are two different things.

Yeah, unless your prone and aiming already while you flip the bolt, I dubt youll get an accurate shot out when standing. Trooth being you can pop out 5 rounds in 5 seconds, but where are they going? In this game, you can shoot faster than you flip the bolt and ressetle gun. Just click, than click again and hold while you flip the bolt, and halfway through the bolt you pop another round up. This has you firing 2 rounds a second. If prone, pretty damn accurately to I must say.

I just finished telling you my personal experience with them. BTW: 5 shots in 5 seconds is slow with a No. 4. Like a pump action shotgun, loading a shell into the chamber takes much less than a second. Shooting birds with a Benelli Nova (not mine) with 26" barrel, I can constantly nail birds one after another in quick succession. I believe the world record for slide action shotguns is 8 rounds in under 2 seconds. Don't know what the world record is for bolt action rifles, but it should be about 5 rounds in 2-3 seconds. They're not slow! Aiming is another matter entirely, depending completely on the user. The sights make a difference, but if the user is enexperienced or just not a very good shot you won't be nailing a target at 100 yards every second. At about a shot a second, I get 2-3" groups at 100 yards.

I hope you meant 2-3 FOOT (2-3') groupings. No one can shoot that fast that accurately, especially with a bolt action firearm. Even shooting in a 2-3 foot spread at that rate/range is impressive. I dunno, maybe its just because you say these things on the internet, but i find it hard to believe what you say, being that you arent even old enough to purchase your own ammunition (in the US). *NO OFFENSE*

Maybe its rusty. From what I heard, the bolts on mausers tend to be so loose that they flip themselves when playing rough.
