McGibs^ yes, jumping will really only ever be used to clear obsticals, or maybe to dive further. Otherwise, your feet should be planted square on the ground.

Knife/pistol glitch will no longer be a problem with BF2, because weapons can now have a deploying/holstering times with animations. That and heavy weapons such as bazookas and MGs will have thier own fireing behaviours, so you cant just whip them out and shoot away (ie, rocket weapons require the player to shoulder the weapon first, which takes a few seconds).

Thank you McGibs.

i would love to see, jumping use much or all of your stamina in one jump, thus elliminating bunnyhopping in FH2. but have running using it up at realistic rate. sorta like in DoD, but be able to run a little farther before tiring out. In DoD and BF2, i always felt you should be able to run a little longer than they have it, not just 30m and wham your exausted. im in my 40s, and have a bad ankle, and i can still run farther than that. i think you should always be able to slow jog atleast, and just have the full speed sprinting affected by stamina. so you actually have 2 running speeds then.

Make the weapons jam themselves if you fire them while your jumping. That should solve it. :)

No not very realistic, weapons should just be very inaccurate and the jump height and frequency still needs to be fixed anyway.

Remember though that the default move speed in BF2 is run and the stamina bit is just for sprinting. I think it should be pretty limited as it would be sprinting with some massive weight of kit on your back...

Jumping eating up the entire stamina bar and only being able to jump again when it's full doesn't sound very good, because very often at least in FH1 you fail to clear an obstacle. Very often some fences and sandbags are so high that you need multiple jump attempts to get over them. What if you're being fired at and you fail to jump over a fence? There is nothing you can do to save yourself. That is not realistic because the fear of death gives you great powers, a real soldier would definitely have the stamina to try to jump again if for example a tank was firing at him and getting behind cover would save his life. I think jumping should only drain half of the stamina bar and you should be able to jump twice before it runs out, with only two jumps there would still be no real bunnyhopping. Or there should be a climbing animation instead of jumping.

Or there's the feature I noticed in the CoD2 demo - when you stand facing a low wall/fence an arrow symbol appears so when you press jump you vault over the obstical.

Here's an idea I toss into the mix: Make the jumps really low, not huge leaps like in BF42 and BF2. The player already has a huge gear on him, I dont think you could jump that high. But if it would be possible to have a bit longer leap when your sprinting, a bit higher too maybe. Now, your imagining that this will be causing bunny hopping once again, include "cooldown" for jumps as it would wear off your stamina like crazy. Say, a jump and you basicly have to rest to get your stamina meter filled again to perform a new one. This would take a second, maybe a few. Its enough long break to kill bunny hoppers, but still allowing you to use a small jump/sprint leap in tight situations (imagine yourself sprinting away from german MG fire and you leap over a fence to cover).

(Dont mind if this idea has come up before, I just scrolled through the page basicly)

The trick is increase the speed of stamina, two jumps and is 0, and you can't jump again, not like in BF2 where you can jump with 0 stamina till sun goes nova

If is harcoded we are doomed...Resistance is Futile. You will be assimilated, all your carrots are belong to us (\__/) (O.o ) (> < )

If it's hardcoded we will threaten EA/Dice with lynching a nest of bunnies if they won't fix it.

But I have complete faith in the FH developers, hehe.
