I prefer 30 seconds myself. It makes kills count, it gives you up to 30 seconds of "free time" when you've cleared a flag, and it makes players a lot more careful than if the delay was 2, 5, 10 or 15 seconds, not to mention that 30 seconds really is not that long of a time.
Too bad the control points (flags) and spawn areas aren't separate. Kind of like the mountain flag in Salerno (Road to Rome) was -- you controlled it, but you couldn't spawn at it. But most capturable flags should be that way--therefore you would actually have to bring up reinforcements.
Fair enough, provided there's sufficient transportation available (preferrably my favourite ground vehicle - trucks:smokin: ). It certainly increases realism, and it increases incentive to intercept convoys of trucks coming from the main base. By the way, does anyone else than me feel that all players should see how long it is to the next "spawn wave", not just those who are dead? [color=YellowGreen] S-K[/color]

see the thing is, i don't know if FH is going for a gameplay realism anymore, my impression of FH is an arcade driven ww2 fps, with accurate weapons and historical details, like what bf1942 should've been i guess. but if FH is going for a realism approach a longer spawn time is nessisary, to provoke and unwillingness to die, where people more carefully calculate their strategy, which also increase need for teamwork. can you dig it? besides, even if we have a poll on this, i don't think servers will listen.unless this becomes a great concern. personally. i hope the spawn times increase to above at least 25 seconds.
I would rather play another game if the spawn time was 30 seconds. If we really want to simulate this war game we should just make it once you die you'll have to wait for the round to end. But I'm sure most people wouldn't want that. I think spawn time should be about 3-10 seconds and TK's go to whatever they feel is necessary. Id rather be playing than twidling my thumb for 30 seconds each time I die.
This poll is ridiculous. A seperate option given for 10 - 12 and 13 - 15? Is there really a difference? As long as its over 10 seconds (so you can kill everyone and then get the flag grey before they respawn) I think it's okay.
I've been playing with 30sec spawn times forever, and it's great. However, I'd be content with as small a spawn time as 15. But no less than 15. Anything below 15 is for no-skill n00bs.

13-15, long enough to beat the flag cap wave, but short enough so I spend more time playing than waiting. I don't mind anything up to 25 either, above that is too much.

Depends at what point in the spawn que they die. They could still spawn back in 3-5 seconds irregardless of the set spawn time. The shorter the spawn que the harder it is to cap a flag. Longer spawn times would certainly help the newer players in capping flags, but make it pretty much unchallenging for the experienced players. 15 seconds seems about right, for both attacking and defending sides.
anything over 15 secs is annoying. i want to play not watch. i sometimes like to assualt "crazybrave" on maps like omaha and such, and die alot, fast... so waiting 20-30 secs between spawns is lame. unfortunately spawntimes are set serverside, and not by the mapmaker, so it can be setup for the map type. some maps are better with slower spawntimes while other maps are better with faster spawntimes. servers set spawntimes universally for all maps.
I would say 20/25...on some maps if less, it makes the game unplayable.
