I know that FH is a BF1942 mod, but what would u guys think of CoD:FH? I play both CoD and BF1942 and enjoy both equally. CoD has better infantry stuff and graphics while BF1942 has better vehicles (IN THE MODS ANYWAY!) and bigger maps. CoD doesn't have any good mods yet so what would everyone think of Call of Duty: Forgotten Hope?

No. Maps are to small, the COD engine is outdated as well, there are no ships, does not support air/water, not enough players.. ect ect.

I believe the devs are looking for a game engine that can host a wide variety of vehicles in addition to infantry cambat. One of the most drawing aspects to BF1942 and all its mods is the fact you can drive or fly or fight in many different ways. And it seems there is a 9 out of 10 chance that FH is going to BF2, which, if you watch all the trailers, has been greatly upgraded from '42.

Chances are that they'll port to Battlefield 2 if they port in the first place. Forgotten Hope for CoD 2 would be... Interesting. But I know nothing about CoD 2, so I don't know... But I'd prefer to have it for BF 2 myself.

I dont think thats a very good idea, considering that the CoD engine is way too outdated to begin a new mod on it that is near as complex as fh, not to mention the fact that maps are way too small in CoD, and there is no air/naval combat. :uhm:

The CoD2 video from the pointe du hoc map actually looks interesting. The map seems to be similar scale as the bf1942(battlegroup?) custom map from the same location. All in all, I sould say CoD should never be considered but COD2...hmmmmmm.

Call of Duty 2 is not out until Christmas 2005, the games features have not yet been confirmed and from what I've seen the game is focusing once again on infantry.

I don't know about multiplayer yet but somehow I just can't see the game developers making out and out war maps like bf1942 and bf2 have. The most you'll get is a few tanks, jeeps etc no planes or boats...

As for Bf2, well it's the perfect engine, it's basically everything bf1942 had only much better.

*looks at topic title and description

You want FH to move to COD, the original....

:wtf:

Well, one advantage that CoD2 has over BF2 when it comes to which game to port to (if FH2 will even happen at all) is that since CoD2 already has a lot of WW2 stuff, it will save FH team lots of time. However, currently little is known about CoD2, such as how many players in multiplayer, gameplay features such as vehicles, etc.

SWAT and the German Front are good mods for COD. I don't know why all of sudden ppl are asking for FH to move to a different game, but FH currently is here to stay on BF1942, it's the only game that really allows for the scope of gameplay FH is aiming for. I wouldn't be too sure about porting to COD2, it's looking awsome, but I bet FH already has alot of the vehicles in COD2 modeled, and I bet some of them look better too. They said vehicles would play a larger role in COD2, but it still looks like infantry will dominate the gameplay. We also still don't know much about the multiplayer either.
