I got teh FH mod ~1 month ago. It is fantastic!! More and more I find myself skipping BF to find FH servers! Taking away the sniper class was a big improvement IMHO. I noticed MGs were never used in BF and I found out why when I would try to man one and would constantly get killed by the GD snipers! ha ha However, what I'm seeing now is that I can often pick off an MG gunner before he gets me b/c of the rifle accuracy and lack of cowering. Even with 20 bullets hitting within a 5-foot radius of moi I merely drop down, put the MG gunner in my sight and pick him off with one shot! Is there any way to model cowering (if that is the proper term) under fire or decreasing the accuracy of shooting if you are getting shot at? I guess it would only take some coding where if a bullet(s) are hitting within a certain radius then your ability to hit a target could decrease. Has anyone else noticed this issue? thanks!:)

Cowering is a good word, but isn't it just fear? I think some people could argue that you could still be completely calm and aim even while you're being shot at by an MG. However, it would be nice if your crosshair increased when you did get shot. It's annoying when say pistol vs. rifle, you (with a pistol) fire a round at the other guy and it's a hit but it's not enough to kill him. He can still fire accurately because getting shot at doesn't affect his accuracy. It would be nice if for a second or two, the other guy is shocked and unable to aim very well.

Cowering is cringing or withdrawing under fear or duress(sp.). Maybe that is too extreme of a reaction. Your idea of the crosshair increase is perfect whether under fire or after being hit!

Nice idea, losing accuracy after being hit. As for cowering, I think it'd be better implemented as "take cover" action, hunkering down to make oneself a smaller target not unlike crouching or going prone, but losing the ability to fire (though, I rather doubt that this could be accomplished without much difficulty) rather than forcing it on someone when they come under fire.

Still, the basis is a good one.

I like this idea. Another thing that would be good is to add in the stopping power of a weapon. That way if you shoot someone while they are running they will come to a stop after being hit. Of course I doubt if this is possible.

see... I have a little trick that I do to defeat some of the limitations of this engine.

you see, this game really has a hard time simulating injured limbs like arms, so whenever I get hit in the arm, I just stop using that arm to play the game. When I get hit in the chest in the game, I scream out in pain and then crumble to the ground and lay there moaning under my computer desk. When I run around ingame, I jog in place with a bag full of forty pounds of equipment strapped to my back. This accurately depicts the fatigue that your "digital self" would feel. You don't want to know what happened the time I was shot in the groin by a T34 at 200m... it still haunts me... er, anyway So if you want fear, I suggest just cowering behind the desk. That basically solves the SDK dilemma.
