LoboI mean with a soft light on. I don't want to be the cause of young gentlemen epilepsias :D
Ahhh that is diffrent......that i do too. :)
If there's a bastard enemy in some dark corner he deserves to die miserably afterall.....
I just turn the lights off when im playing a night map. It eliminates the reflections on your monitor and makes it 100x easier to see.
But if you have a reflection-proof monitor like myself, it doesn't matter. What's strange is that my other 5 year old monitor that is with my other comp (Win98) has no problems running games, and hasn't worn out over the years.
Turning off lightmaps might help if you have a problem.
spotter lights for germans in BtR would be a nice addition to the map
FactionReconWhat's strange is that my other 5 year old monitor that is with my other comp (Win98) has no problems running games, and hasn't worn out over the years.
My monitor is that age too, one of the first 19 inch monitors that were affordable....
Age doesn't matter that much if it is not turned on 24 h a day 7 days a week 265 days per year like buisiness do......they leave them on all the time running a screensaver, but that is only to prevent burnt in pixels in the screen. But the electron cannon is still working with a screensaver on, and will wear out in a few years if it is never shut off.
I don't like night maps at all but that's ok since there are usually other servers with good maps running.
The vision is indeed poorer than in any other map, but I have to admit, it is really cool after all. I try to play Axis side on Blacknight each time, since such maps are perfect for ambushing. You just find a suitable spot in the hedgerows, and when you hear that Allied tank rolling by.. grab that Shreck.. offcourse, you are required to be skilled in the use of AT guns, and keeping your position safe (sniping experience). Anyway, the Allies seem to act like ignorant kids though, they keep coming back, and keep getting wasted by my Shreck.
I love the night maps. Waiting in your Panther as the convoy passes in front of you and then brewing them all up one at a time. GREAT!! The night ground maps make you THINK instead of just charging along.
Reminds me of playing Army at night in the woods with my cousins...if you just hold your position, a lot of stuff goes right by you!
Both are good maps.
The way the night radar is done is great.
