Hello all out there....

We are going to Beta-Test two maps this weekend!

April 1940:

Fjords-1940 done by "whataburger"

Norway was strategically and economically important to both Germany and the Allies. Control of its coastline could either help Britain to strengthen its blockade, or provide Germany with suitable bases for its navy. It was also a vital outlet for Swedish iron ore, an essential part of Germany's war economy. Axis decided to pre-empt an Allied move and on 1 March 1940 ordered the seizure of Norway and in the process, Denmark. German troops invaded Norway by sea and air on 9 April 1940. They seized key locations and the Luftwaffe took control of the air. Unable to prevent the invasion, the Royal Navy nevertheless inflicted significant losses upon the German surface fleet. British, French and Polish units were sent to assist the Norwegians but their efforts were uncoordinated and poorly planned. They failed to dislodge the Germans, and withdrawal followed. The last allied units left Narvik in June 1940.

Beta-Test next weekend on FORGOTTENMAPS

September 1941:

Kiev-Industry-1941 mapped by [°-=LSD=-°]Lili Marlene exclusivly for FORGOTTENMAPS.NET

On September 10, 1st German Panzer Group together with 17th Army take the offensive. In fights which proceeded more than two weeks, 2nd German Army managed to promote up to the Desna river and force it. September 10, 3rd Panzer Division in interaction with the parachute forces landed in settlement Romny, cut of positions of 40th Soviet Army. Using this success, Germans were promptly set in rear of the Soviet formations, on Gayvoron. Simultaneously 2nd Panzer Group, continuously beating off counterattacks against stretched east flank, September 14, by advanced parts has reached Romny area.

Feel free to join next weekends Beta-Test

I just explored Kiew for a bit and visually it's right up there with the original FH maps, I'm very much looking forward to seeing it in action on a full server (due to size I think 40 player max). The only thing I'm afraid of is that again alot of people will pick smg's over rifles especially because the map is focussed on infantry I think it's important to restrict automatic weapons.

Cretan Village looks awesome. I'll be sure to download it, Fjords, Kiev Industry, and probably a good deal of other maps from that site! The fjords should make for some interesting naval engagements, not to mention ambushes. I look forward to testing it tomorrow.

>> what about 1939 maps? It was very imp. in history of ww2. if there are any maps from 1939 which needs to be tested then contact the staff on our board. >> and what? only 2 maps :/ As we need extensive tests for balancing and bugs we can't test a bunch of maps at once! ... if the map feels, plays and looks good after the test, it will run in rotation on our gameserver together with the other custom maps already tested. >> And what abouyt coop for Your maps ?Will be added? You can ask this the mapper itself after the test in our forum! thanks and bye
