I was playing Bocage the other night and I took the scoped G43 rifle from the barn. The americans took the sawmill first (like they always do). I call for artillery and then, I went for some american duck hunting. From the barn, I aimed at the soldiers that was in the sawmill base. I take 4 secs to PERFECTLY aim at their chest. This wasn't a problem in .61 but for some reason, I can never get a hit indicator! or almost never..!!! I also had troubles with my ordinary K98 rifles in long distance. Did the FH devs reduce the rifle powers? I hate to rely on the crappy MP40 :( Anyway, thx for your replies!!!

I had the same problem with the rifles, but I heard that they implemented balistics into the rifles, meaning at long ranges the bullets drop.

I have no problems with the sniper rifles in .65. They're much easier to use than in .61, since you can stand up and still hit somebody. But I haven't experienced any problems with bullet drop.

Only thing I noticed about a sniper rifle (G43 in this case) was the extreme amount of barrel climb following a shot...but its not that big of a deal. I can actually hit something with these ones, as opposed to .61 where i could unload the entire rifle at a bot from 100 yds and not kill him.

The new sniper rifles aren't terrible, but they are really hard to use. Ballistics needs to be rethought, perhaps.

The main one i noticed was the springfield on charlie sector. I couldnt figure out why I never hit any of the people in the bunkers until I heard about bullet drop. I guess that explains it...

They should have removed that rifle completely !

Anyway, the Sniperrifles do seem to be a bit harder to use than in 0.61, but I guess its all for the better. As for the normal rifles, they havn´t changed except for some very minor bullet ballistics...

The Springfield needs to be remodelled I feel like. It's so tiny!

I always had difficulties with sniping in .61, but now I get along just fine with these weapons.

But with normal rifles I don't hit jack over long distances.

The springfield on Charlie Sector has bullet drop -- I have to stick the cross hair above their head, such that the lower line of the default crosshair rests on their heads, from the range of just in from the sea to the concrete bunkers. From memory however, the British sniper rifle in .61 had bullet drop at extreme range, though on OCS the springfield didn't. I suppose things have changed, and we just need to readjust our aims. I for one, welcome our new aiming overlords.
