infantry weapons are all too accuarate, its very simple to aim, while in others aspects realism win, in aiming, its like DoD, still k98's users runing, suddenly stop, half second aiming and VOILA you are death even at long ranges anyway, i was reading some "posible" adds to increase realism when you got shot, instead the 2 current posibilities: getting hit and die or getting hit and still run alive would be cool to make you walk slower, or reduce vision, or even make you have less aim, all moving around you, like in COD that confusion, and only a medic could help you (but dont giving you more health), just make your vision/speed/aim get to normal but thats not the point, my point is that once you center the crosshairs, even the PPSH gets really accuarate, (which doub its posible in real life) so what are you thinking about to get the infantry wars more realistic?
no thank you, the bullet already has to travel and we have bullet drop in there. Unless we can have an aimming system like ROs its never going to get that realistic anyway.
I think most SMG's were probably even more accurate in real life. They were meant for medium to short distance engagements. In my opinion it's fine the way it is now.
The PPSH is very accurate in real life, especially the version with the single shot selection. It just depends how much you fire. Our own skill is supposed to represent the avatar's ability.
but there are much more factors than push the trigger the environment: explosions bullets flying, you cant concentrate, this decrease aim distance pssh main use is as a room or trench cleaner in short distances i dont doub it: its deadly, in medium ... mm not sure, in long distances should be better to dont use it, get closer to the target without revealing your position and PUM PUM im not sure since i havent fired a ppsh but seems to have some recoil that make it a little difficult to controlate because its high rpm, after firing 1st bullet i think would be hard to aim again plus, its small bullet dosent seems to help... a pistol bullet can be accuarate enough i dont wanna convert FH2 into a BROTHERS IN ARMS this game is horrible to aim and hit, maybe 50% of the aiming sistem is real and the other 50% is made to serve the game purpose: flanking the enemy 1 day i heard (maybe in those forums) that the core of the german squads were the MGs, all other squad members only had to cover the mg and replace the mg gunner if died, so most germans avoided using its k98 into direct combat and prefered to fall back to the Mgs and just used its k98's when they have a very very very covered position to shot or when enemy retreated i dont know, maybe im talking too much before see the fh2 infantry combats (i cant enjoy fh infantry wars, too much lag... i always see blood hitpufs but never kill a guy :( ) but my conclusion, infantry is too much self-sufficient
The only weapons I think of as "over the top" in FH are some of the submachine guns. Especially the Thompson; the .45 ACP was great for closer ranges, but the rainbow trajectory and low velocity made hitting difficult at ranges beyond 100 yards.
Iron-sighted "battlefield" rifles should be able to easily engage enemy troops at 3-500 yards.
That's why I said PPSH fired with the semiautomatic mode were very accurate
If you would decrease the rifles accuracy people have even less reason to not go with a ppsh/mp40/thompson and bunnyhop to win.
im confused..?... The person here is complaining that the rifles are too accurate when someone stops, aims, and fires? Isnt that the point? Try running with one (in rl), stop, aim, and fire. I think thats exactly how to be accurate. I have to agree with Bikewar, the only weapons over the top are the smg's. But thats been an ongoing problem for some time. Overall add ironsights and class limits would make a much more appealing infintry game.
Imagine a few firing stations with small targets 200m downrange. Take a K98 and kneel, fire, run, kneel, fire, run, jump, ect in game. Now do that in real life, assuming you had a WWII soldier to do it for you. Would the video game player be as accurate, less acurate, or about the same (also how quick) compared to the real life counterpart? I have a feeling the game player would hit more accurately and do it faster than a real human being would. Comments?
