There should be Anzacs in FH. Give it two years, perhaps there will be.

Using spotters on this map would really help the Canucks IMO, but there is no class that spawns with binocs. I don't know how many sniper pick-up kits exist, but I have a bad feeling that whoever gets it (them) usually snipes instead of spots. Maybe a few assault pickup kits (same loadout, maybe trade rifle nade for binocs) would help out. One other suggestion would be to put in a ford at the left side of the map for armor to cross, so there is a second possibility to get across the river in force. It would be a pretty open route, so it wouldn't hamper the Germans too much IMO.

Solo4114 The closest capturable point is the river outpost, which is defended by (usually) two Pak40s, a StugIII (which can hide behind the sandbags and REALLY do damage), and a Wespe, and the Germans usually bring up their PzIVH as well, if not ALL their tanks (which include a Panther D, I believe). To counter this, the Canadians get some Shermans, I think MAYBE a Firefly, and some lousy Sextants which can't get a clear shot because of the fog, and spotters don't last long. The map has never been a good one unless you like maps that always end in a blowout.

South River Spawn: 1 x PzIVH, 1 x Stug, 2 x PAK 40. Germans get (total): 3 x PzIVH, 1 x Stug, and 1 x PantherD Allies get (To start): 1 x M36 Jackson, 1 x Sherman JUMBO, 3 x Sherman, 1 x Sherman 105mm, and 1 x Sexton. It would seem that if the Canucks are smart, and keep their EYES open; they have the WEIGHT on their side. Caen is a TOUGH map. But NOT unplayable: The Canucks need to use their starting Armor superiority wisely. Not go "Lone-Wolfing" all over the place. As a matter of fact: If the M36 is allowed to "set-up" and use it's main-gun, and the Jumbo is used effectively. The Canucks should be able to get established on the south side of the River easily. Then the "patience-factor" kicks-in. Get the shots on the PAK, and the 88 on the north-side and THEN advance.

Sherman Jumbo? I don't remember seeing one of those on Caen! Generally I like this map, but the allies really could do with another tank or two, since they more often than not get stuck for ages trying to cap a flag.

As for the Canadians, I wish they were present on more maps. It's a shame to restrict them to one map when they were present in so many battles. I guess the problem is commonwealth nations were generally fighting under the British. The "British" forces were pretty damn multi-national, especially the RAF (as an example, 5% of RAF pilots in the battle of Britain were Polish)

Oh yeah, and hi OneTinSoldier, havent seen you on these forums before :)
