bakarocket;3380062Sorry. Can't wait that long. zju_wangyi, let's make a bunch of maps for the Chinese theatre, starting in 1931, and get a mini-mod going.

A dev team of 2 men? One is the leader and the other as vice-leader?

Er. Right. Okay, how about you be president and I'll be Prime Minister?

On the topic of uniforms and vehicles, I have some okay pics of an in-law (we think) of mine with an unidentified tank.

And another of the back, but we can only read the date, July 5th. Any one help with these? zju_wangyi, are these Chinese rather than Japanese characters? (Sorry about quality, didn't have a scanner)

Actually if you had the real picture, you'd see the the July 5th is really easy to read. The other three characters are wierd. A lot of people thought that they were the pre-war Japanese Kanji, but it wasn't until today that I realized that they could have been Chinese Hanzi. Plus, you can see the inkstains on the thing as well. They cover up the bottom kanji/hanzi. The first one looks a little bit like 冬 and the second one looks like 不 on the left, the top piece of 言 (with no 口) on the top right, and 文 on the bottom right. The third one seems to have 之 as a radical, but we can't read the middle bit.

Any ideas?

The first one is the most difficult to recognize, we present it with X; the second seems to be like 校; the third one looks like 廷 or 题; if it is X校廷, it's most likely to be a man's name; if it is X校题, it probably means "X校writes" (题means "write" and X校 is the name of the man who writes this)

hoho, we are somewhat going offtopic, I'm afraid. Let's go back focusing on chinese theater.;)

zju_wangyi;3380067I live in south china and I've never been to the north. Shanhai is near to me but I've never been there, either. Nanking is also a nice city which has a lot of places of interest which are worth visiting.;)

I used to live in South China for two years because my dad got transfered there. I lived in Guangdong province in a small town called Daya Bay/Autou which is only an hour away from Shenzhen or Senzhen, I forgot what its spelled :p.

Im Chinese but I cant speak Chinese :(

I'd love to see the Chinese theater recognized in FH2. It would be a great addendum to the pacific theater and remind people that it wasn't just America vs. Japan.

But on a side note, did the Chinese invent the hover tank? hpjh0066-3.gif

Chinese government bought some GMC trucks from US in the middle 30's. Some of them were refit into these armored trucked. Some equiped 37mm gun, some equiped Maxim heavy MG. :)
