No, it is a mod for Bf2, the original is still there. If you click the Bf2 icon you will play Bf2, if you click the FH2 icon you will play FH2, if you start Bf2 and switch to FH2 unknown catastrophes ensue, ending life as we know it and raising the dead.

Don't scare the new person.

Anyway, if you download FH (latest is 2.15), it will not overwrite or affect vBF2 in anyway if loaded properly. Refer here for installation and common problems: http://forums.filefront.com/fh-help-support/345099-fh2-bf2-troubleshooting.html. One word of warning: you must start the mod using FH2.exe or you will get shader problems. If the mod crashes, you must restart it and exit normally before being able to play vBF2 again.

See you on the servers.

What General Henry is trying to say is that it doesn't really matter whether BF2 is still there, as after FH2 you will never again try another first person shooter(except FH3 when it comes out). But no, BF2 remains.

Strathcona, download it and install it. FH or any other mod, don't affect your BF2 installation, you can play BF2, FH2 and all the mods, no worries

FH2 is a mod, which is short for "modification." That is an unfortunate name because modifying, implies a permanent change, but this is not the case. If you ever actually look in the file folder of any of your favorite games, you will find that it is not one, but many files in many different folders. All those files make up all the elements of your game (the animations the sound, everything). A good analogy is a puppet show: Your game is the puppet show. All those files are the elements of the show, the puppets, the music, the backdrop, and the script for the puppets. The biggest file of all is the game engine, that is the puppeteer, controlling all those things. He arranges the set, moves the puppets, plays the music, and says the dialogue. What a mod does is it gives the puppeteer a different play to perform by giving him a different set of items to use. Different sets, music, puppets, script, everything, without throwing away the original items. This allows you to say "play the new play (game)" and the puppeteer (the game engine) will use the new items (files), and play the new play (the new mod.) You can always play the original play (game) anytime you want, because all the original puppets etc (orignal game files) are still there. Also, you can add as many new plays (mods) as you like. That's right. You can have as many mods to the game at once and play them all, anytime you wish. Hope that helps.

Brilliant. I don't think I'll ever look at a BF mod in quite the same way again after reading that :anime:.

I think someone should do the puppet show version of FH :p.
