I was looking at the Vehicles section of the FH homepage, and see that all the vehicles required for 1940 French maps are there. (A P3 would be nice, but the P38 will do just fine) Why are there none? Are some of those models unskinned? Just curious as to why there are a lot of vehicles that I have never seen in-game.

French will be in 0.7. Most of the French stuff isn't skinned and coded yet, that's why there aren't any maps - there is no equipment.

Not really exact, we have skined two french plane fighters, two tanks, the helmet, soldier skins, we need to finish the hand weapons and then the frenchs can be used in the mod.

Sounds great, finally some fairly evened out and balanced battles. The Germans were never as strong as the French army....but they still won, so I think those French maps will be much wanted for balance.

OK, so just the models are done, and they need coding to bring them to life, and skins to not be grey all over? (I know nothing about programming) :D

'[11PzGmatyast'] The Germans were never as strong as the French army...

I'll guess that's because Germans didn't have totally superior armor as in lately war (Tigers, Panthers etc.) Germany and France were in same line when comparing firepower in 1940's

The French were superior to the Germans in terms of tanks and sheer amount of equipment. No one thought the war would end so fast on that front. It was the credit of the 2 extremely good and daring generals that surprised the French and the British; Erwin Rommel and Heinz Guderian.

You also must not forget the French navy. Germany had a very small navy at the time, but the French were very strong. The Germans won because of their tactics....

their Char Bis B.1 tank was a kinda old design, but could have pwn'd panzers if used the correct way. its 37mm guns was good vs. pzr2s and the 75 would have devistated the "heavier" tanks and bunkers. too bad that the god damn coward generals didnt let the french fight.

The French fought, they were just too surprised and overrun. The re-grouping was not expected and the French were not ready for a formation of a secondary line. They thought that WWII will be like WWI. The never heard of quick defensive manouvers and a mobile front.

A few British soldiers and officers had it right though. Montgommery was for example well acquainted with these tactics. His section suffered the less in the entire campaign due to his great training schemes. But unfortunately he was on his own in this field. And personally I think that Rommel would have outmanouvered him easily.
