Spike1942 So on the Arras map in FH the British should have 2 Matilda II's and 6 Matilda I's.

Nah, keep the Matilda I's out, I know it's realistic to have them, but nobody will use them, since they are bog-slow, and can only kill infantry and jeeps. The MkII is slow too, but at least it has a real gun :D Hopefully, they'll have an A13 ready when the French get in. Not very well-armored, but fast and hard-hitting.

Matilda I was actually unrealistically slow in 0.65 and I think the devs know that now... atleast if they read the forums

With a more realistic damage system, the Matty I might be useful, it can pick off inf/trucks/jeeps, and is basically impervious to German tank fire. With the damage system we have, it's only a matter of time until the Matty is killed by tank fire, without bing able to defend itself from the German tanks. Not that the PzI is any better (and in fact a lot weaker armor), but it can at least escape the slower Allied tanks.

Even the existing damage system is OK for the Matilda I's. Although in R/L the German tanks couldn't penetrate its armour, with enough shells they could break a track or knock out its running gear, which is on the outside of the armoured hull. And an immobilised tank is nothing more than a metal pillbox - a sitting duck which is bound to be destroyed eventually. Against the small German tanks like the Pz.II and Pz.38(t), the Matilda I will die very slowly due to its thick armour, so when it's finally immobilised and on fire the driver can bail out before he gets killed.

True, the Matilda I does have an advantage with the BF42/FH damage system, it cannot be immobilised (until it's just about dead anyway) My point was that nobody will use it. People already pass up Matilda 2's because of the low speed, putting the same (virtually) tank in with only an MG armament will not help it any. It will not matter that German tanks can eventually destroy it, they won't have to. They can either ignore it and bypass it, or simply park right in front of it and block its line of fire to allow infantry to pass. I'm not saying it shouldn't be in from a historical point of view, and I would probably use it, but I think if it's in, it will sit idle a lot. Better maybe to put in something people would use, like a Vickers MkVI.

OK then, how about a mix of 2 Matilda II's, 2 Matilda I's, 2 Cruiser Mk II's (A10's) and 4 Vickers Mk VI's?

You might very well think that

I'd like to see a recoded and reskinned Crusader with the armour values of an A13/A10 and a 2lber gun as a placeholder for these tanks at the moment.
