Today i was playing in a server, on kharkov outskirts. i had a panzerfaust kit, and was in the process of flanking an enemy tank, which happened to be piloted by an admin. Anyway, once i could see the side of the tank, i pulled out my faust, shot at the enemy tank, missed and died. Before i could respawn, the admin was threatening to ban me for exploiting. I asked for what, he said i was using a 'AT exploit' by having my k98 out until right before firing my panzerfaust at him. I was just curious, does anyone else think its a bit silly not being able to run around with your rifle while fighting a tank?

I'll just add this, it wasn't an exploit because you missed and killed yourself. if I was the admin I would just say my LOL and be on my way. But I guess if you succeeded in killing him it would be a bit different. NOTE: im trying not to say the exploit on purpose just so it doesn’t spread.

Well, there's kind of an issue with this. If you were using a bazooka kit and you were running around with a pistol and then suddenly whip out your bazooka, yes you're exploiting.

But the K98/Faust kit is different because you'd be a fool to run around with your faust out, especially with your trusty K98. It's ridiculous to expect players to carry their AT weapon all the time, especially when their sidearm is so damn useful. .45 roolz.

It's not exploiting because even if you're running around with the pistol and shoot the bazooka straight after the aim goes way off and it's impossible to hit anything unless you are right on it.

Damn right it's exploiting, I'd expect you to signal yourself next time your planning to attack my tank. After you have done so, you are expected to lay down and take the required 10 seconds to aim your sights on my tank before you are allowed to open fire upon.

I will ofcourse be firing at you in the meantime, but as you understand this is in the name of fair play ofcourse.

Umm...no. There is a definate pistol/zook glitch which is just plain lame. Running around isn't the best use of the glitch, but it can be very very lame when you some to a sudden stop or crouch and use the glitch. This isn't the issue. The issue is the K98/Faust kit, which is borderline.

I agree, its lame to use the pistol glitch, but I will tell you why I use the pistol's crosshairs sometimes...

The ironsights don't aim right once you move a bit...I have missed tanks from a distance of .5m because of that. I couldn't have missed according to the laws of physics...so I think its sometimes a necessary evil to use the crosshairs of your other weapon.

P.S. Panzerfausts were meant to be fast usable close quarters weapons. Which means, you just took it off your shoulder and pressed a button. And in most cases, tanks couldn't even see it coming....so I don't think you did anything wrong.
