OK, help me settle a little debate with MP-5 Killa.

Just finished a round on Alpenfestung. I'm manning AA at base, he flies in, I nail the aircraft, it crashed near the flag and he doesn't die. So I'm thinking he bailed at the last minute. All of a sudden, my guys start getting wasted by him with a Thompson. He kills me, takes the flag, and the allies win the game.

So I start asking him, how did you bail without a pilot kit? He says he bailed and then entered the 88 as he was hitting the ground to keep from dying.

He claims this is a valid tactic, while I say it's an exploit. I base my opinion on the fact that this is a realism mod, pilot kits were put in for a reason, and he has simply discovered a way to get around using them.

To me, that's exploiting the game.

Not that it matters to me one way or the other, I'm just interested in the general consensus of the players. I commend Killa for finding a way to win the game, even though I think it's somewhat questionable.

What do you guys think?

I think it's a valid tactic, I use it when jumping out of buildings though, cause you usually miss the target when you jump out of a flying plane...

If youre good enough to land exactly on that Object - why not? I think this is OK because In reallity most Planes didnt explode after they were shot by an AA gun. Many of them were able to make an "emergency-landing" and the Pilots survived...

BF is all about exploiting.. because the gameplay is so limited and one way.. everyone exploits BF to the bone. Don't tell me you never blew up a Stug with expacks!

I'd consider it an exploit (a very clever one :)) - not very 'lifelike', if realism is why you're playing FH, why use such a tactic? Then again it's only a game :D I wouldn't wanna bail out and land on an 88 - that would be messy...

I have never tried that before....I have done landings with a burning plane...but not that before...

Also, on Breakthrough the planes start burning early, I think that is a great idea...

Well, rafter, after you left i came to the conclusion that it could be classed as an exploit. Especially after reading your post: "Pilot kits were put in for a reason". Yeah i agree with you and i won't do it again :(. Sorry! :)

Like somebody said, it's as much of an exploit as destryoing a StuG with expacks. Completely legitimate tactic in my opinion.
