rice_crispiesi know bailing safely at low altitudes is possible! i love to do this in ctf mode. but the rest sounds like some cheat. however the thompson is a very good weapon. i love it in infantry combat. the weapon is deadly in the hands of some1 who really knows how to use it. maybe he just lucked out.
what part sounds like a cheat? killing someone with a thompson isn't all that hard. on topic, my opinion: this in no exploit (i think someone said that already though lol)
well if your clever enough to find these things out you should use them to your advantage and people shouldn't whine about you doing it and make stupid rules up its a game and you should be able to do whats possible in that game
I just don't understand how more people want FH realism than FH balance, and yet decide that an unrealistic action is perfectly acceptable just because it's in game.
So if the consensus here is that bailing from a destroyed plane, landing in an AA gun, then killing the people in a base is considered acceptable; why is the AT weapon exploit not?
Obviously, since you can do that with the AT in the game, then it's a valid tactic, no? Based on the replies on this topic, it certainly should be valid and as celebrated as this has been.
Sure, this is clever and turned out to be quite a nifty set of events in the end, but this is is about unrealistic and cheesy as it can get.
The AT exploit seems less cheesy than this to me. There's some chance to bust out a good shot with a bazooka in real life, but there is no way in Hell you'll ever be able to pull this off. At least not without breaking most of your bones.
Well you might be able to swing it if you where a full body Cyborg. :p That it's it turns out his player charter was a time traveling cyborg from the future he was flying in WW2 to stop another time traveler from killing the ancestor of the guy that would invent the time machine! That explains how he jumped out of the plane! Na I don't care that much I say good on him for swinging this. I also think the "AT bug" is fine as well (tanks are powerful enough as is it help's even the odds a bit.)
RottingChrish, on my part I said the AT thing is sort of worse because it has much more impact on the game. I mean, I don't think this exploit here is used all that much, while the AT exploit is used all the time by pretty much everyone, me included due to the totally unrealistic amount of time required to get an accurate aim ;)
Now you guys have wandered of the track a bit, there are numerus threads about the 'AT-aiming bug or feature' but this thread is about if you percieve surviving a shot down plane as an exploit or not.
Hehe, i think everyone is missing the main point- he bailed out without a parachute.
I'm going to play devils advocate here and assume he wasnt planning on landing in the 88.
It dont care if its an exploit or not to vehicle hop, but that reaks of kill-denying; via suidice.
Oh wow, kill denying. What a henious crime. :uhoh: The person took out a P-47D effectively, that's a mission kill... whether his score went from n to n+1 or not is trivial egotistical nonsense. Personally I will do down with a plane if I have no chute, but I almost always bring one, and I've been known to ocean ditch with a high degree of success if my flaming sled manages to hit the ground before exploding.
If someone makes the decision to stay back and guard a key position alone, only seeing sparce action every couple of minutes; being pissed because of that is not egotistical nonsense. Usually these people have the lowest scores in game, though they help their team out the most.
