I'm bored, no one is replying to my posts I need someone to talk with. What is your favorite/best in your opinion way of hunting down and killing tanks? I need a bit of advice myself in fact. So fire away.
As someone who doesn't have the fast-twitch reflexes of some of the younger players, I prefer stealth and ambush. Find a good spot that allows most of the tank body to be concealed (and hopefully out of the line of fire, like a depression) and overlooking a major infiltration route.
Though this does little to capture flags, it does slow enemy movement.
sit with a jumbo or jackson and sniper any tank in my view.
get a panzerfaust hide in houses bushes and near ammo crates and wait for a hapeless bum in a tank to come by and BOOM.

I was always fond of taking out any tank or tank destroyer out and just waiting in a forest or ditch for an enemy to come along. I'm decently accurate with hitting moving targets, so I can usually knock out a tank pretty quickly.

Or: A Panther, or Tiger work as well. As far as Armour vs. Armour: It's good to know each Tank's strengths. There are always situations where you can "Bull-In", depending on the opposition. Eg- Stuart vs. Ho-Go, or Mk. 1 Tiger vs. Sherman...
It really depends on the situation. I'd say a good pilot in the right plane is generally the best way to kill tanks.
If I'm an infantry anti-tank I always try to ambush or sneak up on a tank and fire at it from almost point blank range because If I miss and the tank sees it I'm usually dead. If I'm ambushing it's always good to have protection (such as a house or trench) and not just camouflage (such as a bush) because wary tankers will often spray an area with mg fire to flush out people who are hiding. They do this to houses too but I think I still have a better chance in a house. Positioning yourself right behind the corner of a building (like the way the anti-tank guns are placed on Judge Reinhold's Arnhem map) is often a good tactic because you'll get a good look at the side of the tank and they won't see you until the last second, if at all. I usually have to be patient as infantry though and take any opportunity the tanker gives me, many of them are very good at watching out for infantry and make it pretty difficult to get a shot at them. Density (such as towns, forest, and foliage) is probably the best thing for AT infantry as it gives you a lot of points to attack from and makes it difficult for the tank to watch all of them. In an open field your chances of success are pretty low because the tanker will probably see you and use his range to cut you down.
If I have an AT gun or a tank then I like to use range as much as possible. The ideal is for me to get in a situation where I can hit the guy from far out and he either can't see me or isn't a good enough shot to hit me back. I don't like trading shots at all. Also if I'm in a tank it's good to find a structure to pop out from behind and fire and then wheel back for protection while my gun is reloading. Knowing the weak spots of each tank is good also, besides the general weak spots on each tank some have individual sweet spots that you can hit for a lot of damage.
My all time favorite is using a mortar on Nordwind though. Seeing the axis guy who thought he was safe behind the house saying "One hit and my Tiger's dead? Omgwtf!?" makes me laugh every time.
I prefer to ambush tanks hiding from view and bam a shell from behind ,hopefully with them not knowing where you are .

So you figure the remedy is to ratchet up an already-considerable post-rate? Maybe it's not the number of posts.....
For tank killing, fausts and panzerschrecks are the way to go }>
