BF2 made the IS 100% accurate, one thing I hope is avoided as well.

have you played this game? bf2 adds 'random deviation' per shot, just to make hitting someone harder, for firefights to last longer, and individual skill less important. bf2 IS are nice, and nicely modelled, but they fail in one thing - bullet DOES NOT hit the point IS is pointing. it does not - because of random deviation. i like when is jumps like mad, but i KNOW that the bullet will hit exactly where that IS is pointing now. that allows training etc. random deviations sucks. period.

ps. up to 20-25 metters shoting from the hip is not spray and pray - it is a matter of training and weapon. longer barelled weapons offer quite nice accuracy in experienced hands. my grandfader is a hunter. he is over 80 now, but he still has absolutely no problem hitting cans with his maverick rifle from about 20 metters from the hip... training not luck.

the inaccuracy which was implemented to the 88 und pak was one of the reasons why i stopped playing in january 2005.

why would anybody balance a tank-defence gun to a tank on open field ? of course the tank has no chance .. why balance that ?

but the main problem was, that the tanks dont move over open field in the game. they know where the defguns are and so they hide .. showing only a very small part fo themselve ... shooting at the 88s which are always easy to to hit because they are quite big ..... an the inaccurate 88 has no chance to hit the tank.

please make the accuracy realistic again in FH2

Yea that, i agree 100%. 88s should be as accurate as a Tiger... Also all AT guns should have the sight the 88 has, the Pak 40 one for example is just rubbish. And if you look at the 88 on Foy, its bullet pulls down more than a 105 bullet:uhoh:

The 88 on Foy is a special one. It was created for artillery support fire on spotted targets. Without the drop down effect you would not be able to hit any spotted target.

Well all I know is that the 88mm's on early war maps like Tobruk and Kharkov Winter are deadly. They dont always hit dead on target, but most of the time it doesnt need to, it's splash damage is usually more than enough to take almost anything out.

Though I do hope that 88mm's play a much bigger role in FH2. Possibly boost up their accuracy over distance a bit.

(wow, I guess I missed this topic--hi from New York!)

Funny enough, I agree with Stauff on all of these. I know everyone's supposed to be churning away at FH2, but if "someone" could put some time into it, a 0.7a hotfix would be sorely appreciated.

My only minor issues with Stauffenberg's original post:

1. Making Caen push--that's a big change for a small fix (if there were one made.) It'd need a whole bunch of other adjustments to not make it completely impossible for Allies to win (like major ticket changes, etc.)

2. Making Blackknight push--ditto again.

Otherwise, for what little it's worth, my full support and hooray yeah woot for a hotfix.
