As some of you may know, my computer problems are somewhat solved. My parents recently replaced my old broken down Compaq laptop with a brand spanking new Apple PowerBook G4 15". Don't get me wrong, there are some great games available for the Tiger operating system, but I simply can't live without Forgotten Hope! ITS LIKE CRACK COCAINE! By now, you are either feeling sorry for me, laughting your guts out, or still in disbelief. For those of you who are feeling helpful (hopefully a developer), please, PLEASE tell me that Forgotten Hope will run on the OSX version of Battlefield 1942. For those to lazy to read all of that above: Got new computer, its an Apple. Does FH run on BF42 for Mac? Thanks for your help. If you wish to help me get my PC repaired and upgraded, feel free to make generous donations!
That sucks man. Best of luck with your troubles as I couldn't imagine how it feels to not have the choice to play or not.
Apparently, previous versions ran on Macs with a little tweaking, but 0.67A has some problems. We would like to fix this, but are hampered by the fact that none of the devs has a Mac capable of running any version of BF1942.:(

It might be able to run with some work, but as an exe (I think it's an exe inside of the 3 part zip files, right), it isn't supported by OS X. There might be some emulator-ish programs, but I don't use OS X much (and not for gaming), so I can't really be positive that it will or won't. For those too lazy to read: My friend uses OS X more than I do and he says no.
dude that really sucks #^%$. dude shoot your self or your parents. lol J/K dont do eigther....but really that sucks. i would shoot my self on sight of a mirror, lol
Just to Pre-empt the inevitable OS war i give you a comic which best sums it all up. http://www.ctrlaltdel-online.com/?t=archives&date=2003-12-26
Actually, I really love this PowerBook. The f*cking keyboard lights up when its dark around! *gasp* Strangerthanfiction, I'd be happy to help in any way possible. I've got tons of time on the warranty. Just tell me if I can help.
On the one hand congrats on the kickass laptop. On a stand alone basis and not for playing games the OS and thier hardware kicks ass, but I dont own one because you cant play games on it.
On the other hand the old saying is "people who buy Macs dont play computer games". This is true but mostly because there are not alot of games ported to MAC. Those that are usually a good deal behind the games release date.
Very, very, very true. It is quite rare, I have found, to see up to date releases on Mac. Rome: Total War not only is not out, yet, but no official word on its arrival on OSX has been given! Once in a great while I'll see a new-ish game like Doom 3, on OSX. But I really dont care about all those others. I just want FH, Rome TW, and Lock On, and I'm set for life!
my elementary school days have long tainted my perception of macintoshes.
GOD DAMN FREAKING ONE MOUSE BUTTON!!!!! WHAT THE HELL WHERE THEY THINKING!!!!!! (rips hair out)
and yeah, i know you can get the 2 button ones.... but gah.... those vile one buttoned contraptions scarred my childhood...
