BOW isn't asking for a manual for each map, he is asking for an insight into why the map maker made their maps a certain way. Im sure that the map makers just don't pick a map layout from a hat. They have a certain reason why they put stuff where it is.

Perhaps a brief tactical explanation of how the map maker would play his map could be added to the spawn screen when the map first loads could give everyone a basic plan of attack.

How hard would it be to add a little 3sentence paragraph in the right hand corner of each load screen? Besides, gives the player something to do besides staring at some artwork for a minute or two....

Not really ontopic, but could it be possible to add some allied vehicles in the loading screens, instead of the superior German ones? Quite a lot of German players seem to swap to axis team at the start of the round before the autobalance kicks in, and that King Tiger and ME262 shining in the loading screens are certainly not helping to keep the teams, so how about replacing them German vehicles with for example Soviet ones?

I think that is the one point where a lot of the new maps are lacking. It was say Kursk was scrapped because of the lack of strategic possiblitys. However, when playing Falaise Pocket, Sector 318 or Desert Rose, there seem to be very few strategical aspects to them. I think that most new maps were lacking a vision on how to be played...

Not a bad idea. You will never get clan-style communication and tactics on a pub server, but if everybody has a clue what the general flow of the map should be, you'll get more people headed to the same place at the same time, which is the next best thing to teamwork.

Although forehand knowledge is different from using it. Basically, if part of the tactic involves defense, it won't work as well. People apparently get itchy to move and don't defend very long. How many games of Bulge have you played where the US main either doesn't get attacked, or attacks are beaten off by well-placed defenders? Yet everybody who's ever played that map more than once KNOWS the Germans are gonna take a run at that base. :)

KingrudolfThis is much asked from the regular (read: ignorant, stupid) Bf player, all they want is get the best tank, and the most kills. Heck, flags aren't even important. No one will ever take the time to spot. And when they do, they spot their own feet. Or when you have a target, the enemy has long gone, or no one even bothers to man the artillery.

What we're talking about here is public gameplay. No communication, no tactics, just the Rambo's. So offcourse things totally screw up, and experienced players are getting furious (I know I am frustrated). But it won't change for a long time. With the limitations of the engine, the players, and computers themselve, these things will contineu to happen.

Theres also a lack of organisation, who determines who should choose what kit? This game is about exploitation, to the bone! I know I am exploiting the game. We will never be able to do what we want. Everyone has it's own mind (no matter how empty), and his own will. We're all here because we chose to, not because we were forced. And this allows stupidity to get a role in this part.

The best way would be just to make FH rambo and n00b (not newbie) inaccesible, make tanks have separate driver and gunner and so-on, or to remove the scoreboard or edit it somehow so that it only shows the amount of players on each team, not their scores.
