Hey guys, you might remember me as misfit, who was working on the battlefield 1942 extended mod a while ago. after being overwhelmed by the mod, and caught up in several things i decided to abandon the project. however, i have once again felt the FH craving and may decide to download it again. but i'm also thinking of starting a mod again, which contains some of the planned features of bf extended (less to do with new sounds and textures -> bratwurst and mr cheese have got that squared away nicely). this mod would mostly be there to add new features to enhance the gameplay. here are the ideas i originally had for bf1942e, but now may implement into FH: 1) A "Grenade!" voice command that is activated by pressing the "f" key.. this is to warn others when throwing a grenade or when one lands nearby. this would be easier then hitting f6 f4 or f6 f6 . 2) More flags that need more than one team member to capture. (this is under debate since FH has this already. it would probably be for older maps) 3) Canopy machine guns on tanks that turn the opposite way of a tank turret when it turns. i found it annoying that when i'm trying to fire at someone, the tank turret would move, moving my aim to the left or right. i saw this somewhere in one mod. so i'm pretty sure it can be done. 4) APCs/tanks can have grenade thrown into them, killing/wounding any men inside. 5) i want to turn the shift (walk) key into a sprint function. 6) give medics and engineers points for healing/repairing 7) i had the concept of giving assualt, rifleman, or perhaps the officer kits a pair of binoculars that was spot, like a scout's binoculars would. but instead of this spot being sent to artillery pieces, it would be sent to aircraft, so they could see targets that need to be taken out, and find it acording to their relative positioning. 8) iron sights.... better animations (maybe FHE would donate theirs?) 9) lastly, some minor cosmetic changes - my random shell ejection effect, animation states (i still want to change the standing still animation to the one where the soldier has his gun rested. make hand signals visible in first person, make weapons feel more lifelike (animated the cocks on sub machine guns, bolt action animations) (perhaps the ones from BFV). without as many ideas planned for the mod i could focus on them more, perhaps even improve the random shell ejection effect. i would need some coding, modelling and animating help though, people whho could work to solve problems. i just want to know, would you guys be interested in something like that?

Man, features like this in FH would be awesome and only add to the experience. The question is can it be done and can you do it?:naughty:
where there is will there is a way. i don't know i think alot of these things are in fact possible. like sprinting. it's just that alot of these things might require something else to be done. like sprinting would need some sort of limit (stamina) or drawback (unable to fire, or accuracy as bad as it can get).
This pretty much sounds like stuff FH2 will have.

Sprinting to me would seem the hardest. It would take all the coding for the stamina and new animations unless you wanted to make the default run the sprint and turn the walk into the default walk (which would be to slow IMO).
the hand signals and the grenade warnings sound real good...I dunno if they can be made in practice though
Good ideas for FH2 though. I would also like to see "Fire in the Hole!!!" removed when throwing satchels. Why tell the tanker what youre doing?
Another important suggestion: What about a "look around the corner" effect, is this possible? I hate to run everytime in a line of a tank fire
