Ok, here's the place to praise or bash the newly released patch.

Personally i like the blur effect and a good kick on some weapons. MG is more accurate at last! Also tanks seem to be heavier because of the move delay. New maps are great - all off'em (even gazala, which I was afraid it will be as boring as FH1 counterpart). Those can openers are giving me some pulsing vains on my forhead when they shoot down me again and again... Stuka - doesn't felt it being too fast though it has that funny hole in the floor ^^.

Traktor and bike... didn't try those yet but seen them advancing.

Well, what can I say, great patch. I like the depth of field effect (any plans on adding it to static emplacements?) and the stun-effect seems to be shorter.

Now the maps: Gazala: Holy crap, that´s a shitload of tanks! The map seems huge and I haven´t seen all of it, but it got the right atmosphere and watching all that panzers closing in on your trench is just... well, frightening?

Crete: Haven´t had the chance to play it on the german side yet. At the moment the germans lose a lot, but it was the same with tobruk and that changed. The mediteranian scenery is a nice contrast to the deserts (just like sfakia). I noticed that this map caused a lot of enthusiastic comments by new players and seems to be a real crowd pleaser.

Mareth line: I was surprised how much this one differs from the rest of the desert maps. It has a much "dirtier" and closer feel to it, especially because of the concrete emplacements, which set it apart from Tobruk and Alam Halfa. The focus on urban environment is also a nice touch, but especially toujane has an awful lot of stone walls everywhere and is quite cramped, but maybe that´s just me.

The new vehicles are all well done and especially the tractor and the bicycle have already earned cult status ;). I´m not that fond of tanks, but I drove the new italian one once on Gazala and well, it sucked, but I expected nothing different.

One last thing: why do I still hear camera shots? I really expected that one to be fixed... well, next time.

While I did run into one little problem with application compatibility I was able to fix it quite easy, so ill start from the top. After logging into the FH2 interface, it is easy to see that the colors have been corrected in many places and it looks more professional. Stun Effects After I have loaded the lever there is less of the annoying stun effect and the game is more fun now. To be honest the annoying blur effect kept me from playing it very much last time. It now happens when necessary, around explosions and some bullet ricochets. Maps Crete and Mareth line are probably gonna be two of my favorites along with Sfakia. These feel more in tune with Forgotten Hope 1. Gazala has a good feel because of the defensive positions. Some of the earlier maps, while the same size as FH1 maps, didnt feel right, too open I think. Other Changes The new vechiles, weapons, bug fixes and everything else are top notch as usual. As Ts4EVER mention, the camera shots are a bit annoying. I am still not sure why I need to hear them. If a plane flys overhead, I will assume the enemy knows where I am, or my allies know where I am. Conclusion I think the game plays much better with this patch and the tweaks it brought along. I look forward to more work from the FH team. I am dieing for a Battle of Britain map, that will let us noobs practice flying, as well as a remake of Rhinuebung.

Needs Bicycles with Broomstick mounted Bayonets for Jousting... While still not Crazy about Gazala yet ( thats the LAST map you want me to be a squadleader on but everyone insisted...) the new mapps are excellent and the new Effects are top notch.. (either I always got shot instead of Supressed, or you Really shortened that effect) Oh and any reason why the 32 player maps seem to take twice as long to Verify client Data as the 64 versions seem to? or is that just me?

Hell, even I could kill something with the airplanes now, they feel much better, but not overpowered rape machines as in FH1

I played a single player round of Sfakia just to get used to any new little tweaks so I wouldn't scream like a little girl when I got on a public server. 1. Love the new suppression effect, though I still stand by the opinion that it was fine the way it was. 2. Nice new way to implement the sniper scope. 3. The depth of field adds a LOT of realism, now I feel like I'm actually aiming, not looking through a camera aimed at some ironsights. 4. Bicycles are awesome. 5. Lastly I really liked the increase recoil on rifles. It feels like it has kick. And unlike before, the ironsights don't just snap back down to right where you were aiming, they stay up there until you pull them down. To me it makes the guns feel heavier and just better. Great job as usual devs!
