Many of us are disgruntled with bunny hoppers. Well, I've noticed a few people in BF2 doing something even more irritating (don't recall anyone doing it in 42, but maybe they did) and I pray the devs can do something to stop it from crossing into FH2--we call it fish flopping.

I ran across a sniper named jesse last night, and he took the traditional bunny hop to new heights--the fish flop -- every time I'd run into the guy, he'd leap into the air, land and go prone and immediately bounce up into the air, go prone, rinse an repeat -- he was like a landed fish or a goddamned rubber ball. Unluckily for him, my handy GP30 noob tube (nade launcher) was not impressed with his gymnastic gyrations, but it was disgusting to watch none-the-less. I saw a couple of people avoid death this way. I pray to the FH2 gods that bunny hopping, fish flopping, and dolphin diving are somehow done away with.

It accually sounds like the electric worm. To some extent you can do that in FH/BF1942 already but you have to jump, go prone, hit the crouch button, and jump again, i havent seen it in BF2 so i couldnt say if it is the same. I never had a problem with people bunny hopping as long as they are not able to shoot anyone when they are doing it SMG or no. I hate it when i kneel to shoot some one running and i miss then while i am reloading they jump in the air, turn around towards me and spray me with their ppsh.

Wait... I thought that what you just described was dolphin diving... If not, what is dolphin diving?

Oh for christssake people, just aim a little higher or lower to hit them. It's not that difficult. I can take out a bunny hopper in the distance with one k98 shot. Besides, im 100% positive that the FH team will make jumping take 10 - 15 bars of energy instead of 2.

Yes but its useless in FH because when the crouch animation happens, you are in reality, standing. Example : A guy dives to hide behind sandbags. What must you do? Fire over the sandbags! You will kill him, even if you do not "see" him standing, he is well on his two feets until the animation is over. So you do not have to fear that in FH, it makes them more vulnerable.

Wait... I thought that what you just described was dolphin diving... If not, what is dolphin diving?

It is dolphin diving, indeed.

What I think of as dolphin diving is only the first half of that being complete once they hit the ground and fish flopping being the hopping back up to repeat. If that helps distinguish the similar problems in any way...

Whatever it is, they deserve to die. How about an extra 30-second respawn penalty if killed in the process of hopping/flopping? That'd teach the yellow bellies to die like men....

I've experienced that a lot in FH. Thankfully it must impact their aim a lot because I can still usually kill them first. However, it's quite unrealistic flopping like that on the ground when you have eighty so pounds on your back. Would think it would break something.
