FactionReconI saw an interview with some DICE guys once that mentioned FH, and it said that (at the time at least) they played it almost every day in the offices. They're just jealous is all...:D

Didnt DICE make the game engine, and EA the skins? if so, then the dice guys are probaably getting a kick out of the quality of work a group of unpaid, unnamed guys are putting out vs. the crappy work of a well known game company. and yeah with the new screens we better be seeing FH in the MOD spotlight. I swear, if BF Apocalypse gets in first...the entire might of the FH comunity will rise up and attack EA headquarters with springfields and kingtigers and MG42s....smilie.gif

I'm not surprised EA staff play FH. If you look at BF1942 and see how lacking it was in various pieces of military hardware. It lacks even basic WW2 tanks such as the Panther , Stug , Firefly , Grant , Panzer 2+3 , Cromwell , the list goes on. They missed alot of key planes such as; Typhoon , P-47 , FW190 , Hurricane , HE111 , Lancaster , P-38 , JU52, another seemingly never ending list. They did not fair much better on the infantry weapons either, basic missing weapons are: Panzerfaust , Type 99 , M1 Carbine , Bren , Sten , FG42 , Piat , PPSH , Mosin Nagant. Sure they added some of these in expansion packs but why the hell were they not in BF1942 in the first place?

EA staff are probobly sitting there playing FH thinking: "Damm missed that weapon" ,"and that" , and that one" " Panther, now why didn't we add that?" " Typhoon , whats that?"

I remember an interview with some of the DiCE BF1942 developers, they said that they would of loved to of added all the key vehicles and weapons with realistic values. Unfortunately, EA came along and cut their production time, and limited them to what they could and could not use. I always found it funny how thousands of players used to run around Berlin as a Russian with a BAR, or even a No.4. Heck, what about StG44's in 1940? It's surprising those thousands of players still do too.

German pilots on Battle of Britain with Panzershreks, anyone?

I imagine Dice would enjoy making a game like FH, but they are limited by money, time, etc. They are a business and have to cater to the market. In some ways the FH devs have it better, they can do whatever they want.

I especially liked the reverse lend lease going on, what with the Americans using the No. 4

and why exactly is the No. 4 a five shot rifle in Bf1942??? The worst were probably: spawnable expacks- with ff of, simply run up to an enemy, drop, switch and detonate, instant killl!! along with: spawnable mines- run infront of a tank and drop one, then run away before he can get the full eight shots it takes to kill you. with luck: BOOM!!!! ya it got pathetic. although shooting an enemy sniper with a colt long range was kinda fun. or shooting him in the head twice from a meter away to killl him...sigh* im ranting, we all have better things to do like play FH...
