I´d actualy quite like to see different versions of the same map.

It dosn´t have to apply to all maps, jsut a couple. You also don´t have to scale it by the player numbers. You could be more flexible instead. (Have 20/40/60 player versions or day/night versions etc.)

It would also allow for a better balance of infantrie and vehicle maps as every map could be playable in both versions. It would probably also cut down the number of balance complaints, since in BF 1942 a map had to suit any player number from 16-64.

Most of the full scale 64 player maps use roughly a third of the area and the rest is out-of bounds. If that area is utilized on maps like El Al for BF2 we could see some good battles.

There is nothing lazy of EA imo. They just got 10 maps. And it's very useful to have each map in different sizes, meaning it can be played on all different types of servers and in all different types of matches (clan, etc etc).

I think it's a great feature to make each map suitable for each gaming style.

I still think it would be better to utilize these 3 "sizes" as different "variants" instead. So, "size 1" would be without plane, "size 2" would be with planes, and "size 3" would be... i dunno, a night map maybe? Or maybe a more "destroyed" version of the original map?

I think it would be neat if we could see objective based maps that are 16-player only, that require near perfect teamwork and collaboration. The SAS comes to mind...:naughty:

It would also allow the devs to be a bit more open if they are designing large-scale maps. For instance, we could have two completely different maps for omaha; a narrow one (a la the vanilla one almost...did I say that:eek:?) with very few fortifications and defences for 16 player, and a much more open one for 32 and 64 players (with minor tweaks between the two

I think a frontal assault map that is narrow with one team having heavy fortifications and such a tactical advantage such as the Dice Omaha with only 16 players would be near impossible. Talk about a meat grinder. Maps like this currently in FH are meat grinders already but are much wider allowing atleast that 1 odd guy to slip through at times. A map of such width as the Dice Omaha with that little players would be so tough I'd probably just log off and save myself the headache lol.

The S.A.S. style objective maps sounds cool though. It's something that for FH would be a cool addition, aside from the current objective maps like BtR & BoB.

I would rather see 1 map that was close to historical correct to reflect the actual battles that took place like they are now.

The developers of FH2 just have to construct a very realistic Omaha with the shingles and whatnot. Is their any plans on that at all..

Anyway we could have FH2 implement the 3 variants as during the day and battleplan changed or just covering a certain area of the map.
