in bf1942 i could ran it with my p. IV 1.7 512 ram, and a ati 9600pro and even with an old vodoo? i dont remember the old card

now in fh1942... oh man, all in MINIMUN, sound settings inclusive, and it lags for me like hell when there are lot of guys in the screen

as my goal into my gaming life is to play fh2 in high, would you recommend to wait like 4 or 5 months and then buy the best PC to have a great pc to play FH2 like 1 or 1.5 years?

No, I would recommend you to live on water and noodles and buy a new computer every third month.

We pushed hard the limits in FH1 because BF42 vanilla is a game with not very detailed maps and stuff, but BF2 has great detail, I don't think we will push its limits too much, so don't run in panic.

Just an example: do you like the new enfield?...it has less polygons than most BF2 weapons

My advice = wait till the mod is released, play it on your PC; if it runs shit - upgrade otherwise stick with what you've got till you get the itch to upgrade again. ;)

i got a laptop with a pm 1.6, 1.2 gigs of ram and a 6800go. i could play bf2 on 2nd highest resolution w/ max settings when i first got my computer, but for some reason now, it runs like crap...gotta reformat. anyways for fh2 im planning on getting more ram and maybe pinmodding my cpu. i think that will do it for acceptable res until i get out of college and buy a new desktop, no?

On a full server with most of the eye candy turned up, BF:2 runs way better on my machine than FH .7. I expect FH2 to do around the same as vanilla BF2.

Specs: x800, 2gig, AMD64 3500+, 7200RPM HDD.

Blasphemy! An FH weapon with less polygons that what Dice did? :donitz:

On a more serious note: If a model can look sexy with a "relativly low" poly count that is cool, I expect that some models might be upgraded though with even better ones in four yars or so (asumming FH2 is still around then) so I expect the FH requirements to be about equal to that of BF2 and steadily rise from there.
