came across the description of FH for its download on fileplanet.. but its waaay off. http://www.fileplanet.com/145978/140000/fileinfo/BF1942---Forgotten-Hope-v.65-%5BFull-Install%5D http://www.fileplanet.com/94891/0/section/Forgotten-Hope

This is the newest version of Forgotten Hope, the Battlefield 1942 modification that takes place in the time around 1940 and 1941 when the power of the Wehrmacht was reaching its peak.

it says the same for other files too though, not just this install file ^^ Considering 43,000 people downloaded that file from there, thats a awfull lot of disinformation! While fh does of course have some maps from that period, any satchel worthy fh player knows this is way off as of course fh is so much more then this. Hell, they mines well have said it included the pz3.....

No, but if someone is interested in FH but reads that it only focuses on 1939 - 1941 from a 'reliable' download source like Fileplanet, then they may not want to download it after all.

This struck me as strange the first time I saw it, but I downloaded Forgotten Hope anyway. And now look at where we are. Some people may get the wrong impression of FH when they see this and not download it, so that's one reason for less players. After all it is an FH problem as well as FP's.

what would you want to read then? Hmm I dunno if they will listen to just anybody, maybe if you explain you are a dev and give them a better description? I can try though, again- what should I ask for it to be then.

I think its better a dev sends a email.. why would they listen to a small group of nobody's? they cant take the risk.. They have no other choice then to obey zee devs! :bows:

Another reason why not so many plays FH is because of the HUGE dl size of 1.6gb... That scares alot of people away with 256-512kb connections ya know...

If I'm correct, Forgotten Hope was started to bring early war battles into Battlefield 1942 (which, as its name says, contains mostly battles from 1942-1945). That's why I think it's called Forgotten Hope - during 40-41, things were looking grim for the world, as those were the years Hitler was winning.

Who cares what it was its what it is now that counts
