The FH firefly I believe has unrealistic damage values, I read a book recently where it stated the Firefly could penetrate 130mm of armour at 1000m (can't remember whether it was angled or not). Netherless, the Firefly should penetrate the Tiger's front armour in any of the situations in FH, because nothing is ever in combat at 1000m in FH.
stronger fireflies sure would help balance things out a little bit IMO.
aaron ash is working on revamping tanks, hes done well so far. tiger is gone at one shot from the firefly, the panzerschreck is really a beast, and alot more.
Ah thats great, I wasn't aware of them revamping the Firefly. Sounds great, how many shots does the KT take from a Firefly?
i dont know. what am i a walking encyclopedia  :furious:
I love the Firefly, so this is good news.
judge reinholdaaron ash is working on revamping tanks, hes done well so far. tiger is gone at one shot from the firefly, the panzerschreck is really a beast, and alot more.
Not from the front I hope the Tiger has already been badly owned by the FH coders.
It is realistic for the Tiger to be killed in one shot to the front by the Firefly's 17pndr.
And Judge, yes you are.
The Firefly IRL should have been able to penetrate a Tiger 1 Ausf E''s front armor at 2Km. The Tiger and Panther could do likewise. The APCBC round penetrated over 130mm of armor at 0deg angle at 2000m.
And thats not even the 17lbr HVAP armor piercing discarding sabot round which could penetrate over 200mm of armor at 0deg angle at 2000m.
Thats why the Firefly was such a dangerous tank for the Germans and orders were issued to destroy them first. The Fireflies took away the range advantage the Germans had.
But I do not think it should be a one shot kill. I have seen pics of Tigers and Panthers that have survived hits on the front armor from a 17lbr.
I think it should be, because that how it works with the Germans shooting at everyone else. The tiger has a 9 degree slope on its armour..I think. So it wouldn't be penetrated at 2k.
