In some BF patch the flying infantry was introduced (ie a player will fly off in the air when a grenade, shell, explosive or vehicle goes off right beside him) wich changed infantry from dying at the spot of the blast but rather off the 10m fall. To me this seems pretty overexaggerated most of the times (if anything they should be turned into minced meat). So could this be reverted and should it?

Not quite the same subject but when I play Tribes 2 when a mortar goes off next to you you kinda disentigrate into many body parts.

FH should have a similar dismemberment animation or at least shredding. Followed by a few bood curdling screams and cries for a medic.

The problem with the flying off thing isn't so much flying off to die, it's when they land on a high roof or something and lift. It's fully possible to survive a tank shell to the face and land on the roof of a nearby barn with 90% health, which is fubar.

I wouldn't say not make them fly from explosions, but reduce the height and increase the needed explosive force. Currently a handgrenade sends the soldier flying 20 meters high. I think high explosive shell should send soldiers flying to some extend, but no where near those distances. The explosion should also kill the soldier first and then send flying around places to prevent tank grenades shooting soldiers through the roof while they are still alive. By the way, how the hell can a fucking tank shell exploding in small space send anyone flying anywhere? I think it would just rip bodyparts off killing the victim immediately. It should be fixed as soon as possible, as well as tank damages against infantry.

Another thing is tanks leaping in the air when blown up, it's just stupid.

i noticed a funny thing a couple of days ago. i shot a guy, one shot kill. the animation is played - he gets on his knees and fall forward, and stays there. then a couple of seconds later a hand grenade explodes - boom, and he is back on his feet, and the animation goes all over again...

......

it should not be fixed! not at all! i love being shot at from a tank, only to end up on top of the roof, fetch my faust and get that tank!

didn't meant that seriously though. please fix it :)

I agree that it's not very realistic, but I like b/c it's an indicator that the soldier has been killed w/o having to take your eyes off the action and look for the script.

voted yes, since when indoors it`s possible to be blown from one floor to another through the ceiling and survive almost intact.

Not related to the flying thing (yes it silly for grenades flight) but one thing to do would be to give the nades a smoke clouds like the tank shell hit on dirt. Setting a nade of on the sand would kick up some dirt.

The effect is already done so it would be matter of getting its so detnoated nade does the same things, except with a much smalelr area and not so dense.
