.65 has made a radical overhaul of the rifle grenade for all armies. What do you think about this step? I've heard yay let it stay, and I've heard no let it go. Personally, I love what they did with it. No longer am I constantly killed by guys who arm the 'nade as their first shot with the rifle. It was ridiculous before. I also appreciate the gun sway, although I don't know how much a soldier would have fired the weapon as depicted in this game where the sway would exist. But I wasn't alive in the 1940's, so I won't have the balls to declare what people did in real life.
I liked the rifle 'nade. If everyone used it it was kind of a thrill playing in levels like Berlin. "Am I aiming high enough? Has the other guy used his already? What if he ducks?" The delay should've gone AFTER it's fired, so after the wooden bullet or blank or whatever that propelled the grenade could be replaced with the bullets. Before just makes no sense, unless they had to pull a pin to get it to explode. I don't know, having never used one in the battle of Berlin back in '45:rolleyes: .
The new way they have done rifle nades is brilliant :thumbsup:. The delay is to signify you placing it on the end of the rifle. It takes 2 seconds for the rifle grenades to go off. In real life it would take long, and you dont usaully fire them from the shoulder. You place the butt of the rifle on the ground and use the grenade launcher scope to determine distance and trajectory of the nade. But, we don't have that feature. It would be nice to add that. Just like the M203 on the M16 in DC. That way you have to fire from that sight and that sight only.

well i need an animation showing the rifle grenade being inserted into the barrel not just a sound and wait
they should remove the Aim spread on it since it hvae a 5 sec delay the Aim spread just make it a bad weapon there is no need for it when there is a delay ....
I am for a delay in the rifle grenade usage, but currently the delay is in the wrong place. It should be when you change to the 'nade, not after you have pressed the trigger. The current system is imho worse than the way it was before, since now it is pretty much useless against anything but fixed targets, and there aren't too many of those in FH...
I kind of agree with the post above. Surley rifle grenades were anoying in 0.61 and needed to be addressed. But I dont like the new system. I think a delay while switching the rifle grenade would be more appropriote. Also force the user to prone in order to use it effectivly (weapons sway, innaccurate). And then I´d have prefered an explosion delay of 1 sec, instead on a fire delay. Also, rifle grenades have been removed from alot of maps, making Assaults even rarer than before... Edit: The poll needs an option for either "none of the two", "see below" or similar...
It's obvious why they put the delay where they did, it would be just like .61 if the delay was in loading, all the n00bs ran around with the damn thing armed from cyber conception. They were born armed with it, the delay would mean nothing to them, as far as they were concerned when they blew their nade they were out of ammo and had to rely on bullets until they found an ammo box.
