""Over the last 3 months our team of almost two dozen mappers, moddelers and graphic artists have worked on this campaign so that every single map will have that unique Italian feeling"" The above quote is from the advertisement and begs the question... Does any content from this (or any other) tournament make it into Forgotten Hope 2? As far as I am concerned all these tournaments seem to do is draw player base away from the great and glorious Fh2. I hate to say it, but at certain times of the day and throughout the week, the tournaments reduce the public playerbase to practically nil (which is bad for new players who always make remarks about the low player numbers). So my question still remains the same, are these tournaments given an opportunity to release their material through the main mod? The WaW map pack was fun but it hardly got played as it received no official support.

You are wrong mate ;)
WaW or FHT just offer an alternative way to play FH2, more organized and some other features. Besides, they realese new maps and content to keep people playing FH2. They don't reduce playerbase, they increase it!!
Yes we are in close contact with the developers of FH2. They are in our dev. forum every day and yes all content that is made in Forgotten Honor is and will be given to the devs of FH2, also all maps. But ofcourse FH2 devs need to decide if they want it or not and if the quality is what they demand. But everything we make automaticly is also for the FH2 devs.
So basicly Forgotten Honor Tournament is very good for you as a regular FH2 player, not only we develop new maps but also statics, codes, weapons and vehicles and ontop of that we keep the player base of FH2 alive till Normandy will come. :)
About the public servers, a tournament has nothing to do with the numbers on the servers. Especially since we do not have one open ourselfs, we promote our players to join the hslan or any other server.
I hope this will take your fear away, maybe join up and experience it yourself mate :)
@ Dutch Thanks for the reply, the stuff looks great and I am glad that it does not go to waste. Personally, I play too much Fh2 but never on the tournaments as I find the requirements to be rather strict for my taste (teamspeak, ranks, following orders, attending practices?? wtf on the last one). I do have to restate the truth that tournaments do actually decrease player numbers of FH2 itself. The numbers, unfortunately, do not lie. When a tournament is ongoing it of course has a player base that had to have come from somewhere and guess what? Those players came from the existing base numbers or they themselves don't play public games due to their perception of a lack of teamwork, or no teamspeakers, etc. So, in actuality, while numbers may be strong for the tournaments, they aren't as strong at the same time in the public playerbase which often has a deleterious impact on numbers playing. I am not trying to start a flame war but you tourney guys have to stop making the claim that you build player numbers because quite frankly while you may have a full server, there's a very strong chance that no other servers are populated sufficiently to enjoy a decent game. Try playing HSlan 64 player size with only a handful of people and you will understand my sentiment.

I don't know what your talking about sheik.
The only time the amount players via public server population is decreased (from the normal activity) is during FHT/WaW battles. The tournaments don't cause people to quit playing the mod, though. :Puzzled:
Both WaW and F|H have been around since FH1 days and operate in the same way now as they did then. :)
