Actually, if you've got decent commanders, they'll call outwhere to go. There's pre-programmed (attack pointX!) style commands, much like BF's radio commands. And there's good teamwork to be found out there, just as much as there is in FH. Sometimes you end up with guys on your team who just "get" it. They'll stick with you, cover you, etc. Those are the most fun games.
Unlike FH, however, you have a MUCH tougher time going alone. It can be done but you really won't last long. RO does require more coordination and/or communication to be successful, or you just end up learning the likely approaches on maps and people just gravitate towards them.
It does take some getting used to, but it's worth it. Try playing on the WOLF server or the CiA/CoR servers. There's usually good teamwork to be found there because there's a lot of regulars who play. You'll end up seeing the same set of guys across servers, too, and learn who's a good teammate.
