Flashes for other weapons such as tanks and artillery?
It's flashlights! With... muzzles?
Anyway, night maps really aren't too hard to play on, but I'll have to see how they differ from the ones I've played in Secret Weapons. The dark uniforms of soldiers blend in with the dark map about as much as the light brown uniforms of soldiers blend in on desert maps.
WOW! nice new maps, they look aswome aspecially Operation BlackKnight I love the screenshot with the lancaster it would be even better if the lights were lit on the tips of the wings! The new rifles look rather good too! :bows:
HojewAnyway, night maps really aren't too hard to play on...
I have this image that even though you can't see anyone, you can see the red and blue writing moving around... (damn, I've forgotten what it's called! :uhoh: )..
Nametags! That's what I was trying to say - damn too late to edit previous post :( Anyway, hopefully nametags will either be turned off on most servers or at least very low distance... I hate nametags - pity they can't be set on a 'per map' basis... - except when some guy was hiding in a bush on Gold Beach last night and kept sniping me - then I wanted enemy nametags enabled :)
McGibsFighting in the dark is quite a different experiance. It relys much much much more on ambush type tactics, because its about 300x easier to hide and not be seen. Movement is really the only thing you can see, so scooting from bush to bush is a good way of surviving. You can die and have absolutly no clue where the hell it came from.
I've played one of DC's night maps and that pretty much sums it up. This map will be either love it or hate it for everybody, there'll be no grey area.
Nice maps, and the new Brit skin is great!
